Can Someone Explain This Funky Lag?

Today (and only today, so far) I've been in every single game, from bot game to ranked, where every ~50-90 seconds I will get a five to ten seconds of frozen inputs. I can't control my champion. It continues executing the last command (for instance, walk from base to blue buff) but only if it had a command previously. Otherwise it stands there; it will retaliate against autoattacks as per any normal DC.

There are a few strange things:

• My ping is normal, and when I'm frozen it still stays 80-120 (normal for me)
• I can see everyone else, and I can see their chat yelling at me saying, [explicatives and other jolly good league community words]
• The rest of the game progresses as normal, and I am fully capable of witnessing it in real time
• Once it re-connects, it triees to execute only the commands I sent in the last second or two of frozen-state. It will not back-log all of the commands previously sent during the entire frozen period, which I think is what normally happens when I lag.

I can't even tell if it's client-side, my network, or Riot's network. In case of a client error, I went ahead and re-installed League, to no avail, which hopefully rules that out sufficiently enough. I did a few other troubleshooting tools on my end (e.g., restart router, check ISP network status, disconnect all devices to router and reconnect, etc.) and nothing changed.


EDIT: I tried OCE, and it happened there too.

 

I'm assuming you're playing in the NA Region. Sometimes it's on Riot's end but since you say it's only been for today it might just be an issue with the Servers as they were down for quite a while only a few days ago.

 

Was bad in OCE as well.

 

Didn't work Russia either :laugh: I think it's on my end...
