I think i've come across a scammer who almost got my account. I may have some proof but when he almost stole my account I don't have any proof. I just want to point a few things out.

He wanted to do the deal over teamviewer, I downloaded it thinking its a harmless program (which it is). He asked me to log on to my acc to prove ownership through teamviewer. I did, then the session was disconnected instantly. First thing I did was change my password, which I was quicker than this retard at so there is my redemption for being an idiot.

I did some googling. Turns out this is a known scam method, use windows vista, when they type their password with vista's unhide password option, they see your password and you see * * * * * as you enter it. Pretty clever. So he was using vista, and being VERY shady about this teamviewer thing, so I am 99.9% sure hes a scammer.

Heres what proof I do have, check his sig, where it says Vouches:

Click the arrow and go to the original post where that quote was taken from, its a thread where he is selling his account. A leecher with 3 posts april2010 join date posted something along the lines of "bought a few skillers from him earlier, vouch".

So I am pretty sure that thread and account are false, just to provide a vouch so he looks like a legit trader when scamming. Heres a link to his profile. If somebody can check the IP of the account that vouched for him, and his IP, I have a very strong feeling they will match.

Check his sig and follow the quote to the thread. VERY fishy/suspicious.

    Interesting...

I've given him a temporary ban for spamming, but we'll investigate further.

Wow i'm glad this got noticed so quick! I really wish I was more firmiliar with the system here but i'm learning. I should have copied the msn messages, it was a very clear scam attempt. I feel so dumb for trying, at least I saved my account.

Also I warned someone else who was about to trade with him, this was his response.

Unfortunately with no proof nothing can be done. I checked the IP's for that vouch but they do not match.
