Yo..
Im having some doubts about the lovely paypal.

Some weeks ago I got limitation on both my accounts.. I provided all the information needed & called them up. And they removed the limitations.

- So now, Im wondering.. is it possible to get another limitation for the same reason? The riskful activities or shit like that on the same account?
Im planning on making some major deals in the nextcomming weeks; and I dont want to risk the money being frozen once again.

Anyone experienced the phenomenon of the paypal account getting limitations again?

Edit:
And whats the best "way" to avoid the money getting disputed? All the previous trades have been paypal gifted with a message claiming they wont be disputing the money..
But recently, due some buyers account getting limited - he got his money back (idiotic mofo system).
So I've read some other sellthreads, and some people only accept bankverified/funded paypal account; why's that? and how do I know its bankverified/funded and not creditcard funded?

You ought to try your best to answer them here.. that's the point of this forum. This way others can reference this thread.

OP: Your account can be limited multiple times for the same reason, depending on the reason.

The best way to avoid limitation and or Paypal Reversals is to always make sure your buyer is using a legitimate (non stolen) Paypal funded with Paypal Balance or Bank Balance versus a Credit Card. Credit Cards are easy to chargeback on and are also easy to steal.

And ideas on how I can check if its bankfunded or creditcard funded?
Dark man tried explaining that to me, but it seems that the "detail"-pages on my account is more different that his.. All mine says is who sent it, the amount paid, the receiver and shit like that.. Nothing about bank or creditcard..

What information did you submit the last time? If you've submitted most of your information (SSN#, photo id, bank statements, etc...) and they think that your account is too high risk, they will simply close it and not want you as a customer anymore.

Well, last limitation they asked for identification, bill or utility to verify my adress and information about some of the transactions made..
They also mailed my other mail (I have two accounts); saying that Im not allowed to accept anymore gift payments for my service.. but they didnt say that on my more active paypal account, so I said screw it - and kept accepting giftpayments..

But if they close it and wont let me be a customer anymore, would the money dissapear aswell?

AFAIK, the money is held for 180 days then available for withdrawal. (This is from personal experience a while ago, so I'm unsure of their policy now).

You shouldn't be accepting Gift Payments anyways. I got one of these emails and immediately switched to Service payments and just charged the 2.9% + .39c fee they charged to the customer.

Well, Im willing to accept service payments.. Except they're easy reversable..
I've asked some people to pay as service with claim and cancel, but it doesnt seem to work. I dont know if its because the limitation was recently removed or because they did it wrong (followed a thread made in 2007 or 08 I think..).

When you accept payment as service.. its with claim and cancel?

When I accept payment as a service I ask them to write the note that they are paying for a virtual service.

You can't reclaim anything that's paid for anything related to virtual goods, and therefore the buyer would have absolutely no chance of recovering the money.

Ever happend that the payment is disputed? In that case.. did you mention that in the open case dispute that it was virtual goods?

Cause @ the incident when the buyers account got limitation, he had written a message (when gifted): "I have received the virtual goods, therefor I will not dispute the money - thanks!".. Yet they disputed the money to the buyer.

And lastly.. wont they ask what kind of goods? For example.. cd-keys? items in a specific game? fixing his blog? or shit like that?

Yeah. They can dispute it but they can't win it.
Paypal won't ask any questions.

If the money was returned to the buyer its because A) They funded it with a Credit Card and chargedbacked or B) The Paypal was stolen.

Hmm.. lastly, does it matter if my paypal account that takes the payment as a service isn't verified? would that matter when someone disputes a claim even tho they got a message claiming they got the stuff?

Usually if your Paypal is Verified it's tougher to get limited. (Although mine never got limited without a bank account).

You can accept any form of payment without being Verified though.

If you DO get limited without a bank account added/being Verified, Paypal will ask you to Verify your account, which is essentially

1) Confirming an Address
2) Adding a Credit Card (you can get away with prepaids sometimes though)
3) Linking a bank account

Well, the account(s) have both been limited.. thats why Im asking about re-limitation :P - but about the service payment & not being verified.. wondering if the non-verification would have an effect when someone disputes a claim, because Im not verified Im slightly less "trusted"?

Exactly.

Paypal trusts a Verified member more because if their Paypal goes negative they can get funds from your bank account.

No... Im quite sure Paypal cant access your bank account without your permission.. if the account get negative, you could just leave it.. and they wont be able to do shit. - Except for calling you.
