[POLL] - Fortnite to be added under Survival game section - YES/NO/OTHER

I vote it should be added, not only would it bring attention to Sythe.org, but with how big of a game Fortnite is, it can only benefit the forums.

People could offer services to purchase V-Bucks for other users, same as people do with Osbuddy, ETC.

 

Just pointing out that the poll in the OP is over 4 months old now, I had no idea this suggestion would sit for 4 1/2 months or I'd of made the poll run indefinitely, so u cant really use the poll results when ~2 pages of comments are after the poll closed for any staff approving/denying this.

 

First of all - let me just say that i'm on a whole other level at this game than the rest of you.

Anyways, as some have already mentioned there's really no potential of a marketplace to be set-up with how the current game is. EXCEPT there is potential for people to sell their Epic Games accounts that have skins, lots of wins, good k/d, lots of v-bucks (in-game currency to purchase skins). The same can also be said for Xbox accounts, however, that'd be best in the Xbox accounts section most likely. I believe PS4 accounts carry over to PC so that'd be viable on a Fortnite forums section. There may also be potential for people boosting via wins on an account. This would involve people paying other people to get them a certain # of wins on their accounts. I would have no idea why someone would want to pay for this but I've seen way more retarded things go on on this website. Then of course after these 2 things there can just be a simple discussion section where people talk about their favorite skins, what settings they play on, how many wins they have or how many they're going for, etc.. There is also a separate game mode called Save The World. I don't know anybody that plays this but I'm sure there are people that are out there that would like more outlets where the content of it is discussed. I feel like the discussion section will have the most appeal, it'd have to wait to be seen how some of these other sections would fare.

As far as I have heard the hype of this game is dropping and people are moving on. Took way too long talking about implementing it instead of just riding it while it was popular (like we did with PokemonGo)

Point being, if it’s added and it’s not successful, don’t say “we shouldn’t add random games as they might not attract people and that looks bad to shuffle the sections around a lot.” The hype is dying and the opportunity to take advantage of it has passed

 

I don’t really care for this suggestion but the game is the #1 watched game on twitch rn and if anything the hype is growing so no clue why you’d say that. Pubg and h1z1 are the ones that have lost hype

Omg not this game again, I have to fight with my destiny clan to get them off of Fortnite. Ill support this because the hype for this game is real.

What would people even offer? Accounts with some skins? High ranking accounts?

I mean that's about it other than leveling, which no one will use. People don't use the PUBG section at all, nor do they use the Rust section, so why even add it?

Sythe is kinda dead when it comes to those things.

I agree, but this site unfortunately is (seemingly) dead when it comes to anything not related to Runescape. We did an amazing job getting ahead of the curve when the hype was big about PokemonGo and we generated a lot of activity and seemed to draw in new users to the site to visit that section.

Everything besides the RS marketplace is already kind of dead anyways, so why not risk making a section for one of the largest games out at the moment in hopes that it continues to develop and creates tradable items so we already have a place for people to trade instead of going through the 3 months of arguing in the suggestion section, and then another two months for anyone to get to it in the SL. There already is a market for this game, and it'll grow even larger if any items become tradeable, staff just have to do something about it.

There already is a Survival marketplace where this section would fit perfectly. The Rust section has only had 4 threads created in over three months. What are we worried about, that the Fortnite section will only have 3 threads? It's harder to make a section that's less active than a lot of the ones we currently have so I don't see the harm in taking a shot.

 

Could see a use for this for teaming I'm always looking for good groups on ps4

Yes please, good way to make friends for ingame play, right now unless you have irl friends it is sort of hard to meet people unless you go stroll through streams left and right, but that's ok. Definite support

 

Well this has sat for literally over 5 months now.

@staff if your not going to implement this, close it up, this is a little ridiculous how long this has sat.
