Well My friend wanted me to do this hope its not against the rules.

 

i don't think gambling ruins the economy that much. merch clan ruin them more
gambling is just a Gp exchange with some prfit for the hosts
nobody have to gamble if they don't want it

There's a difference between the effect merch clans have on the economy and gambling. Merch clans drive prices up and down, while most successful flower hosts sell the gp they make. I think what joJ0r was saying is that gambling doesn't affect anyone who chooses not to gamble, but people who choose not to merch are affected by merch clans.

Anyway, I doubt anything will come out of this petition, jagex doesn't care. Mod Mark said he's working on another method of gambling.

 

Lol gambling doesn't effect the economy. Merch clans effect the prices of of items there for effect the economy. the movement of gold coins from one person to another makes 0 effect.

 

I don't see why anyone could be against gambling to the point where they create a meaningless forum post that jagex won't even read/give a shit about.

Gambling only becomes a problem when you can't control yourself and become a Gambling freak.

Gambling isn;t a problem that you should gamble or not , there are people playing and its effecting them , before when you used to play the game , you wouldn't see hot/cold x2 or w.e everywhere but now its impossible,--Afeem

 

If anything ruins the economy its rwt, Which in a sense is tied with gambling. But I personally don't think they need to take gambling out.

 

My issue is when i do play runescape its constantly flooded with people trying to gamble 24/7 its a fucking video game, theres plenty of other methods to gamble and these fuckers should try them. The autotypers and scammers that go with gambling is my issue, what people do with gp doesnt bother me.

 

Luckily for you Jagex has already begun to press into the growing issue of autotypers, scammers, etc. If it bothers you to the point of no return, according to Rune Wiki, "...Worlds 22, 25, 42, 60, 88, 91, and 104 have become unofficially 'Anti-Gambling Worlds', worlds where the community is against trust-trade gambling." So you could always spend time in any of those seven worlds to avoid the nuisance of gamblers until further actions are taken. Obviously that isn't the greatest solution, but I thought you would appreciate hearing that suggestion.

 

Yeah, thing is autotypers and gamblers still frequent these worlds albeit slightly less. They should just remove mithril seeds and be done with it .
Hopefully they take a firmer stance against this plague.

 

Removing certain items will do nothing except piss off legitimate players who enjoy those items. There are always going to be new items and new games.

 

removing mithril seeds aint gonna do shit ... they removed dice bags and it didnt affect gambling at all, if they remove mithril seeds ppl are just going to find new ways of gambling ...

 

Really hate gamblers/gambling. They can go gamble in other games that are meant for that.

 

I wish jagex would just implement a staking system in the burthorpe games room and remove the limit in the rat pits. If we had that option I doubt anyone would hand their cash to a random host that might just scam if they lost a big pot. Hell they could even add a coin flip game for the retards that can’t even play connect 4.

With mithril seeds if the jmods wanted to do something about them they could make the seeds grow regular trees like they did in classic.
