Multi-logging

Is it against the rules and what would be the best way to do it?
Do people run bots off the same IP?

I know proxies aren't safe and are most likely blacklisted by Jagex.
What about free VPN's, would they be blacklisted too?.

yes it is against the rules, best way is to open two browsers and click log in same time, might be patched I don't use it.
I know nothing about proxies sorry, don't think they are blacklisted by jagex how could they be.
If I need to log into two different accounts I just use my VPS, it's only like $10 a month or less.

 

It's very easy to blacklist all proxies from popular sites, then ban anyone logging in from those IPs. I read that on Sythe, so if its wrong feel free to correct me. I'll happily log on via proxies if I won't get banned.

Yeah, I used to log in like that in 2007 but ive read it's not possible anymore.

Also, a VPN is like a proxy only faster/better/more secure.

Proxies don't work for runescape. You can download a bot client and get a free bot which will let you multi log.

 

I use VPN service called hotspotshield to bot from school (cuz otherwise it's blocked). No problems or bans and i have for over 2 years.

 

Virtual Private Network. It's a glorified (and often private) proxy. A lot of the Chinese companies use these to make their IP's look American. Another good way is to use a VPS to multi-log.

They can detect multi-log's and often enforce it if they interact (trading GP).

 

Just download powerbot, it is 100% safe now and you can multi-log 10 times.

 

Thank You! That is exactly what I needed to know. I've found a very basic VPS, 0.6GHZ CPU, 376MB RAM.. will this be sufficient to run RS?
I just want a basic package, im not planning to use bots yet.. I just want to use two RS accounts.

 

I've been multi logging in since I started playing. I open two firefox browsers have both characters in the lobby and then pick the same world. Click on the play here on one side of screen and then almost instantly click it on the other the BAM you're in the same world. If it doesn't work just try again, it's all about the speed.
