ACN Inc: The Biggest Scam In The World

Me: Accept an old classmate’s Facebook friend request.
Him: Immediately opens chat with me. Asks for my phone # so he can talk to me about something “important”/
Summarized Events:
Him: “Hey Govind, long time no talk, haven’t seen you since Junior High there bro!”
Me: “Oh hey.Yeah. How are you?”
Him: “Pretty good. Listen bro, are you still good with computers and shit?”
Me: “Yeah, I guess. Do you need help with anything?”
Him: “Yeah, I need some help fixing my laptop. It won’t start. Are you free any time this week?”
Me: “Actually, I have work all week.”
Him: “How about this weekend? I’ll pay you $150 to fix my laptop for me. I can’t afford a new one. I’ll pay you even $20 to just have a look even if you can’t fix it.”
Me: “Okay, sure, this weekend then.”
Him: “I’m not in Calgary very long though. I’m at this hotel, can you drop by here and have a look on Saturday at 6PM?”
At this point I take a look at his profile and it clearly states he is living in Calgary. So, unless he hasn’t updated his profile, or there is more going on about his current life that I don’t know about, well… whatever. He’s said I’ll get $20 just for looking and $150 to fix it. Worth a look, I guess.
Me: “Sure, Saturday at 6PM then.”
Him: “Great see you then! (gives address)”
Come Saturday I arrive at this hotel a few minutes early, eager for my probable $150 and guaranteed $20.
This guy shows up and I ask him (since he is carrying no bag), where is laptop is. He tells me it’s up in his room. He then shows interest in this seminar in one of the rooms.
Him: “Wanna check out this seminar first, bro?”
Me: “I’d rather just fix your laptop for you. I’d like to get home early.”
Him: “Bro, this won’t be long. Let’s just check it out.”
Well, it’s $150 I’m getting, so, it’s worth this, I guess.
This “seminar” turns out to be a recruitment rally for ACN Inc., an obvious pyramid scheme. Instead of being “not very long” as this guy promised, it lasted till 8:30PM and he lied about his laptop. He only wanted to show me this seminar, and convince me to sign up.

So, basically: ACN Inc. is such a huge scam that I even got scammed in the attempt to recruit me.

 

It's a shame some people actually get reeled into these schemes and are exploited.

i would have stood up mid speech and did some stupid shit like, the BEES ARE ATTACKING and run out.


these types are people are trying to damn hard these days.

Also, I'm puzzled as to why you think ANC Inc. scammed you. The company didn't "scam" you, it was your friend that did--unless of course ANC Inc. knowingly approved and/or ordered your friend to do what he did (which I doubt). Yeah, the company may use deceiving tactics and strategies to recruit people, but other major corporations do the exactly the same thing.

I still fail to see HOW exactly you were "scammed" by them and why they are the "biggest scam in the world" (as you claim in the OP).

 

I been to those seminars for a different company called USANA health sciences. So far, there products are suppose to be top notch high quality ranking in top 5 or 10 or something. Its all a pyramid scheme.

 

1. The guy works for ACN Inc, so in bringing me to this seminar he was acting as a representative of the company.

2. The seminar itself was clearly describing a pyramid scheme (legal through slight loopholes). Anyone who does any research on this company can clearly see that the majority of new recruits don't even earn their initial investment back. It may not be illegal but it is still a rip-off, so calling it is a scam isn't far off from the truth.
