Wtf is fliping? :)

Hey guys i haven't played a while and found u guys talking about some fliping shit. Whata hack is that fliping? Is it somehow related to merchanting or what? If you can say what it is or u know some links than put it here, as i can't found anything understandable about it . Thanks ​

 

from what i no of it, its a short term merchant buying things falling and selling them when they rise in a few hours or a day opposed to the long term of merchanting

 

Buy low sell high

 

Basically you are buying an item for a price below what you expect to sell it for.

EX: Buy a lobster at 300gp, and sell it at 320gp.

 

its when you buy an item that is rising. you sell it the NEXT day

 

Flipping is taking advantage of another player's impatience. For example, you may buy 10 pairs of dragon boots from people who've just come back from Godwars/Cleaning their bank. These players tend to sell them for a low price, and you can easily snap these great deals up. Then, 8 hours later you can leave an offer in the ge selling them for 10-20k higher than you bought them. The same process applies here; another player might want them for dragon-slaying, or perhaps a quest. These players will buy for higher amounts, and you will make PROFIT.


There's plenty of items you can flip with but the item must be traded in high volumes each day.

 

Most of your information is correct, except for the quotation above- The G.E. limit is 4 hours (You said 8).

 

I didn't state the GE limit was 8 hours, I just recommended you come back in 8 (an average school day) to check the items. I buy double or triple the limit of the item in that time.
