    pino265's pest control guide

    part 1 : what is pest control
    part 2 : how do i find pest control?
    part 3 : the 3 boats do's and dont's
    part 4 : the actual game
    part 5 : void knight armor
    part 6 : extra features and summoning

    part 1 : what is pest control?

    void knight : hey what is that a portal?
    void apprentice : i see what should it be?
    void knight : theres another 2
    void apprentice : ow another one its 4 of them.
    void knight : what the #### is that coming out?
    void apprentice : omg theyre pests lets call the pest control.

    and so the adventure starts.
    pest invaded the island which is under control of the void knight a worthy noble sir who just wants peace on his island.
    so you are called to kill those pests.
    it is your duty to kill the pests and destroy the portals they came from for a litle reward.
    be part of an everlasting fight and deserve xp or some of the high demand void knights armor.

    (i fail at making serious pics)

    part 2 : how do i find pest control?

    just follow the routes in the shown pic theyre pictures from the most known teleporting locations.

    [IMG]

    part 3 : the 3 boats do's and dont's

    so now you've reached the void knight outpost (pat on the back if you didn't cause that's rare)

    now there is 3 boats

    veteran = pro's
    intermidate = average
    novice = noobs

    now there's a few things you should know.

    first of all there is allways a limited amount of worlds that actually have people at pest control.
    you should allways take world 53 as it got the most players all day long.

    second you should never take the intermidate boat as people out there suck for many reasons even if your level 99 take the novice boat.

    third you should never hold back on armor. take the ebst stuff you have you might even wanna pot at higher levels as it pays back if you win a game.

    fourth have fun dont flame noobs that are just able to get into the level 40-69 boat

    part 4 : the actual game

    first of all you should start off by killing monsters untill you got 50 zeal (zeal is the hits you made in that game you only get pest points with 50+ zeal which should be easy for you)

    second : as you got 50 zeal now is your time to kill the portals just check what portals are unshielded as theyre the only ones you can attack.

    now you might see some jellyfish-like monsters flying around called spinners.

    rule number 1 in pest control : kill spinners if your at a portal with 4 or less people allways keep killing portal with 5 or more people.

    after the portal is down pretty much allways another one unshielded so move on to that one.

    react to other people they often tell you if theres a spinner which you might not have seen at the first moment.

    all in all a game should last for 3-5 minutes.

    the points : you get points as you both succesfully win a game (all portals down) and got 50 hits (zeal).
    the points are determined by the boat you were on

    novice = 2 points 50 pts/h average
    intermidate = 3 points 30 pts/h average
    veteran = 4 points 90 pts/h average

    you will also be rewarded an ammount of coins based on your p2p combat level

    the formula is combatlevel * 10 = coins rewarded

    part 5 : void knight armor

    this is what were all doing pest control for isnt it?
    the ultimate outfit void knight armor

    -void gloves = 150 pts
    - void knight body = 250 pts
    - void knight bottom = 250 pts
    - void melee helm = 200 pts
    - void mage helm = 200 pts
    - void ranger helm = 200 pts
    - void mace = 250 pts
    - void seal = 10pts

    the set contains :
    - void knight bottom
    - void knight top
    - void knight gloves
    - 1 of the knights helmets

    as sets these give the following bonuses.

    ranger set:

    special effect = +20% accuracy and power in ranged (therefor the best range set in whole runescape)

    looks :
    [IMG]

    mage set

    special effect : +10% magic accurace (not hitting higher for that the most owrthless void set)

    looks :
    [IMG]

    melee set

    special effect : +10% accuracy

    looks :
    [IMG]

    all sets have the same bonus being:
    attack bonus :
    stab = 0
    slash = 0
    crush = 0
    magic = 0
    ranged = 0

    defence bonus
    stab = 87
    slash = 87
    crush = 87
    magic = 85
    ranged = 87
    summoning = 72

    other bonus :
    strength = 0
    prayer = 0

    part 6 : extra features and summoning

    now the void knight sells more as you noticed i didnt speak about the void mace nor did i speak about the void seal so lets run through them first.

    the void mace : even though it's a mace it can also be used as a staff.
    it IS the only staff in the game that can autocast claws of guthix.

    the void seal : if you operate this item while playing pest control all monsters around you will take a maximum of 9 damage (as a chinchompa it hits a 3*3 square) dont waste your points on this one as its pretty much worthless.

    the packs:
    we know of 3 packs
    -mineral pack contains ores
    -seed pack contains seeds (wow really?)
    -herb pack contains herbs (this is one of the 2 only ways to get the toadflax herb)
    dont waste your points on the packs as theyre pretty worthless.

    xp!

    in pest control you can exchange 1,10 or 100 points for an ammount of xp.
    the xp is based on both the ammount of points you spend and the level you allready got in that skill.

    summoning

    another interesting part in pest control is the pest summons.

    you can summon

    ravager :
    effect : trains strength
    looks :
    [IMG]

    spinner :
    effect : trains defence
    looks :
    [IMG]

    torcher :
    effect : trains magic
    looks :
    [IMG]

    shifter :
    effect : trains attack
    looks :
    [IMG]

    feel free to comment from now on and before you ask yes all pictures are home-made =P
