    Ambiguous ban messages

This was brought to my attention after I was banned (and obviously unbanned, but it hardly matters now). I'm sure I've seen it before, but of course, one of those "Doesn't affect me" things.
Of course, I have no idea how often this actually happens (I'm sure an admin/moderator could find out easier than me), but the fact that it happens at all is something I find to be rather annoying.
Perhaps in the case where it's obvious what the ban was for, for example posting in one of Sythe's "Permanent Ban" threads, but it's horrible in other cases.

As far as I can tell, this isn't a large change, but it's going to be a MASSIVE difference to the current dispute forums. The quick glances I've had through there show plenty of users posting with questions about their ban messages.
Perhaps ban evaders can be linked to the account their being accused of evading from, etc.
Not only does this help users, create less disputes, but it also gives innocent users a proper change at disputing their ban, and as far as I can tell, they only get once chance to make it hard, which is rather difficult if you don't know what you're banned for.

On a slightly related note, I find that a ban message mocking or attacking the user being banned is highly inappropriate too, but as far as I know, this isn't a big issue.

A link to why he was banned wouldn't be too hard, and would be make a great difference.

He doesn't mean just one individual, its more of a collective amount of Bans.

I' sometimes read through disputes, only mainly for my own entertainment and to see who's been banned and for what reason, and there has been several times where I've come across a User who's asking the reason for why they were banned.. Making their Dispute alot harder to write, how can you defend yourself when you don't know what you've done?

So I support, that in the event of when a member gets banned, the Full reason should be submitted in the ban reason, I'm not saying all of you don't submit ban reasons, But maybe "Vader" isn't enough as a ban reason, maybe you should link them to the profile that's banned.

You misunderstood me, I meant that putting links in all ban reasons would be helpful.

I agree as well. All ban reasons should include, if possible, a link to the offending thread, a report thread, or evidence that has incriminated them. It should also include a clear reason why they are banned and which rule they have violated.

I agree, not even for the fact that it would clear up the section, just because it should be there already as it is rather helpful information.

Yeah it gets really annoying. When I was banned because they thought I was someone else the ban message was "harped". This meant absolutely nothing to me, so you can probably imagine my confusion.

No, that's not different at all.
As demonstrated by this EXACT case, mods get things wrong. As such, they shouldn't ever leave a ban message like this, no matter how sure they are at the time.

Is there any word on whether the staff are ever going to do this or anything?
I had the idea that part of this forum was for the staff to post here too...

Why only post 2 words "max", are they not good enough to get a simple link to why they were banned? If you would put a link, and stop being lazy; it would make it much easier for people to appeal there ban. If you ban someone for something they don't even know what, it's going to be rather hard to dispute it, if you put a semi-detailed reson on there, appeals would be much easier to deal with.

Stop being lazy. There is a reason they made you a mod, to help the sythe community, you might be helping them one way, but your causing trouble another way.

Evasion is evasion. I'm not wasting my life explaining that when you damn well know they knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

    Self vouching is self explanatory.

Also I find it funny when they come to the dispute forum and try to act like they have no idea whats going on when clearly they know exactly what is going on. I can link you to an example if you wish.
