You would need around 4GB, as it's ~500MB/bot. Just to let you know, The Black Tux has cheaper VPS's.

PhotonVPS blows (Based on my past experience). Make sure you DO NOT get an OpenVZ VPS, OpenVZ and Java don't cooperate well together. (I'm not about ready to get into this discussion nor explain why. To everyone who will post after me flaming because i stated this, research before troll)

(On topic about Photon) Make sure you get either "WINDOWS", "ATOMIC" or "XEN" -- if you really want to get photon.. Photon has clones of itself too, such as yardvps.

Overall i would suggest to rent a server. You can get a Core2Duo or so for around $100/mo. There are plenty of budget data centers around.

The next best option after ^ That (Which i did when i dabbled with goldfarming) is to buy a cheap server off Ebay and Colocate it, 8-10 simba bots is quite a bit of bandwidth and CPU/RAM, lol.

Don't expect to get remote hosting solutions for cheap, and have any sort of quality to them. Expect to pay at least $40 p/1gig RAM (I don't care if the black tux sells them cheap, he either uses OpenVZ for overselling --Nobody will make a profit by pricing low--, or refer to my above statement of Colocation).

And trust me, I know Hosting. I've been part of a hosting company for about 4 years now compared to most who will post, and we've had customers try to do botting on our VPS's, The bill racks up fast, and in the end they cancel.
