Need Your arguments!

Alright, I'm going to be in a debate and the subject is to whether we should allow juniors/seniors to leave during 3rd period if they have a study hall. (Third period is when we have lunch, we have block scheduling so we have 4 81min/115min for third block)

The requirements for this are: You be a junior or a senior,have at least a 70 for a grade, and that class is a study hall (no duh)

If you come back into school late 3 times-privelages removed and saturday detention.

If you leave and don't come back once- privelages removed and saturday detention.

Can you give me all the arguments you can think for going against this?

Are you honestly going to use the study hall?
Or, go home?

But, what are the benefits you'd gain from having the study hall?
Surely you have other places to study, for example, the library etc?

 

More highschoolers on the road = more wrecks and less safety for the public tbh

What if the kid gets run over by a car? The school is held liable.

Kids won't really study.

American kids have exceptionally poor grades as it stands, what makes you thinking less school will help that? Even it if it is going to the "study hall"

 

It's just giving a reason for kids to skip school.
