Personal Input on the Sythe Community Discord

Hello all,
I'm writing this Community Input thread to put in my 2 cents about the Sythe Community Discord. I have only been in the discord for a few days, but I'm honestly shocked at how immature some of the users are. From sending pornographic photos in the general chat, to slandering each other with vulgar words, and racist slang. Throwing around racist terms and nude photos is not only unprofessional, but its disgusting. I'm sure other members will agree that we don't want to see those kinds of post. Especially in the OFFICIAL Sythe Discord. This is a trading platform for games and other items, not pornography. Please be courteous to other users; not everyone is into your nudes.

I look forwarding to seeing more input from other users/staff members down below.

Hello, I personally agree with your viewpoint, but at the end of the day this is the underground RuneScape community and you cannot really expect such a high level of professionalism 24/7 from this community.

Whenever I need help they're generally pretty helpful outside of a few trolls, but that is to be expected sadly now and days.

 

The Sythe Discord is an extension of the Spam Forum. Language, banter, trolling is all allowed (Spam Forum Rules). Posting pornography outside the #NSFW channel is forbidden and users will lose their Discord privileges, take a photo of their post and send it to a staff member.

Generally, the Discord is where most active conversation takes place for reports/suggestions/etc. People are free to speak about whatever they want there, so long as it doesn't break any Sythe Rules. I would advise you don't take anything seriously there and keep in mind that when you remove boundaries, people tend to act out.

 

I agree it's full of spam, but the dedicated channels seem to be fairly clean and channel specific.

 

It's gross. There is a reason a lot of members don't actively post in it, because of the way it is.

and @Pendulum you know a lot of people do that and quickly delete it. just like posting personal photos and such. its just dumb lol

 

I'm aware, I do ban users from the Discord when they make such posts outside of the NSFW channel. A good way to handle it is to increase the punishment, as its mostly just a slap on the wrist right now.

 

Sythe discord is great everytime i'm in it my inner troll comes out and i can be whatever i want to be. It's fantastic!

Everything muted besides the crypto channel. Id have to admit the trolls are quite funny sometimes.
