    Permanently Disabled Jagex Account

A little over a month ago, I made the poor decision to purchase an account from PlayerAuctions. Without much thought, I imported the account that I purchased onto my Jagex Launcher Account which currently also had my main account (I'm the original owner/creator of this one).

Fast forward to the month of May- the seller on PlayerAuctions decided to recover the account from me. I get an email stating that an account has been transferred off of my Jagex Account. An hour later, I'm logged out of my Jagex Account. I try to log back in and I am unable to do so and I receive the message "Sorry, your account has been disabled".

I don't really care about the account that was recovered from me or the Jagex Account. However, I was hoping to get my main account (that I created myself) back. I submit a support request ticket, 24 hours later, I get a response from J Mod #1 telling me that they have clear evidence that my Jagex Account had characters on it that I did not create. They stated that their decision was final and any additional attempts to appeal the ban would be denied.

I submit another support request, simply asking to recover my main account from the Jagex Account (or have it transferred to a new Jagex Account). 24 hours later, I get a response from J Mod #2 stating that the information I provided does not prove that I am the rightful owner of the account.

I submit a third support request, providing even more information, as well as submitting from the location where I created the account. I get a response from J Mod #3 basically telling me they have a 0 tolerance policy for account hijacking and even though I genuinely own the other character on the Jagex Account, they will not be returning the Jagex Account back to me. They emphasized that they won't be responding to future contacts about this and if I continue to contact them they will cause me to be unable to use it at all.

At this point, I'm pretty much throwing the towel in, and accepting the fact that I will not be getting my main account (the one that I created myself) back. If anyone has any suggestions/ideas of anything I should try, I'd appreciate it.

I was debating as a last ditch effort, to submit one last support ticket, coming clean about having purchased the one account (providing the receipts) and seeing if somehow they would show mercy on me and return my other account. Not sure if I should bother, as it seems that none of the three J mods seemed to read the body of my email.

Consider this post a warning. If you purchase an account from someone, don't import it to the same Jagex Account as your max cape.

Man what a terrible situation. Good warning to others of course. Really sorry for your loss I hope you are at some point able to get your Main back. Buying accounts scares me for that exact reason. It will NEVER be from your original IP address no matter what. Jagex will always be able to see the IP the account was created on. Once again sorry for your loss I hope at least something in the future actually goes your way. Also, thank you for the warning

I had a similar situation happen to me. My workaround was that I claimed the account was imported to my JA in error and that the hijacked account belonged to my friend and basically pleaded ignorance. You could try emailing them from different email. If you need to see any of the emails I sent that helped me I'll be glad to share them with you.

Good info to know for account buyers, they probably wouldn't think twice otherwise.
Sorry for your loss though, I hope you can somehow get your account back.

I think this is just going to be what happens when you import an account you don't own to your own Jagex account. How they know the owner of the Jagex account is not the one who owns the character is currently known. However, they will consider this hijacking and disable the Jagex account and all characters.

However, I have seen them actually just remove the character and leave the jagex account alone, but that seems to be the rare exception.
