Legacy Mode: One Small Step For Jagex

One giant leap for developers, but honestly, eliminating abilities shall make the interface quite simple. Obviously, if they're advertising this "poll" then the verdict shall rule in our favor. Now there shall be an level playing field so to speak. We'll have to watch, and observe, but I cannot help but assume that developers will have their work cut out for them. Let's hear it people, what are your opinions regarding legacy mode?

 

not to promising to me, its not gonna be exactly like pre-eoc if your thinking it is. I prefer if you like old system go to 07 bu yeh im pretty excited about this too but It doesnt look too promising to me :/

 

Indeed, it will not be identical (unforunately), albeit I truly believe this shall be simpler than the current EoC layout.

 

Not sure how this is "Runescape Cheating", but okay. I am pretty excited about it though.

 

Lol people don't seem to realize that they aren't saying "Ya, we're done with eoc, we're going back to the old system." No, they're saying they want eoc and legacy to work with each other side by side. Jagex is really messing up lmao

 

This involves Runescape 3 cheating, therefore it does.

@Centrino, a client would most likely utilize legacy mode vs EoC, it's common sense mate ^_^

People, legacy mode is an opportunity to reestablish prior bots...It's not that difficult of a concept to grasp.

 

On your OP it's more of a general question asking about our thoughts/feelings on Legacy Mode. There's nothing really directly related to/asking about Legacy Mode and it's effects on botting.

I say it won't change much really, legacy mode will come, bots will either add support for it, or continue to use the EoC controls (which ever is easier) and that's that.

 

EOC takes way too much cpu to bot

 

Regardless of whether or not you use the legacy mode or EoC mode for combat, your CPU usage will remain about the same. You're still having to render all of the same shit, as well as anyone else around you using the EoC mode. So regardless of the mode you pick, you're gonna end up with around the same CPU usage

Yea they've changed the game for the worse and lost 100,000+ people for it and NOW once they can feel their lite pockets the decide it's time for a change -.-

 

I get what you're saying but may want to edit OP stating that it'll be easier for scripters to format a bot with the new combat system rather than EoC.

 

There's going to be a beta in which players will be able to test the features and make suggestions until it is fine tuned to the players liking (power to the players).

 

Anyone know for fact whether you will have to restart for "legacy mode" or of our old rs2-3 accs can be used.

So my current "rs3" (old rs2 account) will work in "legacy mode" AND eoc?? That doesnt sound right..

Im basically just trying to find out of I should sell before or after this update..
