Clothing Graphics

I have a lot of ideas on designs for clothes, I just lack the talent to actually put it on the clothes, so I decided to dig into my resources on Sythe and reach out to the community.


What type of artist would I have to find who could design and put designs on clothes (shirts, sweatshirts, hats, buttons, etc.)?

How much would it cost to pay the artist for their work?

Should a contract be written up to avoid the artist from stealing my design ideas?

Anything would help, thanks guys.

 

Really depends on what you want on the shirt. A guy I know makes his own art and puts it on sweaters, hats, shirts you name it. He put up a site to sell his clothing, maybe this could help you out http://adamcrns.spreadshirt.co.uk/

If you'd like to purchase full rights to the artwork, I recommend writing up a contract to make sure they keep there end of the deal although it might cost you more for full rights.

A good graphics artist could be the difference between 'cool' clothing and ugly clothing. I guess if you think it's necessary then go for a contract. Some artists here on Sythe could definitely help you create the art. Then you can just send the graphics to a printing company to finish up the process.

 

I'd definitely be looking for some artists. Are any of you yourselves experienced with creating characters? Mostly cartoon.

 

hey i could design them for you and you can sell them. i have designed a few shirts in my time. an i would charge you by how complicated the design is. like for instance if you just wanted a circle with text in it it would be just a few dollars but if you wanted like a complicated charter with shadows an detail it could be 20-30$ if you are interested pm me or add me on skype tell me that its you when you add me tho.
