It may not scare you when you think of it, or joke, but this is a serious problem which is frequently over looked. I want to share with you all a short story about someone in my parents office. He is about 40-50 years old married with children, he is balding and is a realestate agent, thats a mix, the catch is, when this guy isn't showing homes, he is looking up children ranging from 13-17. He uses teenchat.com, myspace.com and talks to people younger than him via MSN. How do I know this, well simply the fool is in the middle of the office and you can see right into his office when walking to the front. One day I saw some 16 year olds non-private myspace pictures open..I didn't believe it at first, so I began to look everytime I passed, the dumb fuck minimizes shit if an adult walks by, he must think I am 10..I see this all happening every time I am here. Eventually I told my parents after I was positive he was doing this. Turns out he really is, my parents already knew this. Today I am righting this because right now I am in the office watching him browse myspace and teen chat sites...I know that many people already know this is a common threat, but it's even worse when you know it's actually there, this man is phisically infront of me, I thought I should share this because I want to know if people on sythe.org know people like this, if the do anything about stopping people like this, or if people on Sythe are even aware that this is a real and happening everyday..Discuss no spam thoughts please.

 

Objectively, what is wrong with having pedophilic tendencies?

 

Out school makes us listen to people say shit like this four or five times every year. While i think its a VERY good idea, and should be done everywhere, the way our school system is doing it is a little over the top.

They scare the shit out of everyone, so whenever an adault talks to us, they scare the shit out of us.

I have no problem in people believing what they want or doing what they want, its just that to know that people do this can be so close, knowing them, loving them, even being related to them. I don't think it's wrong to have pedophilic tendencies, but I do think it is wrong if you act on it. You can joke, and laugh about it, but if that 50 year old man, decides hey, I'm gonna meet up with this 16 year old girl, that's where the line needs to be drawn.

Pedophiles like children, and teenage girls, but is it wrong if they talk to them on the internet? It's nothing like getting raped by a pedophile in real life, it's just talk.

Actions taken by a pedophile to meet up with a teenage girl, I think is morally wrong, and should absolutely not occur. Hopefully Cruel will enlighten us with his ideas on pedophilia and it's outcomes.

 

Why is it wrong to date or even sleep with some far younger then you? Most people don't admit it, but the physical attributes you desire in women are usually best presented at females at lower ages.

Examples: Smooth skin, firm breast, and figure.

There is no denying that these are the things that most men desire. And these are found in younger women.

Pass a law where it is illegal to look at pictures of girls? They aren't nude, and if he does look at illegal photographs-at his home or at work- the internet companies track that stuff.

I don't think theres anything wrong with him, though I agree with Kabal, he probably doesn't have the best mind set. But we shouldn't take away his freedom for looking at pictures and chatting.

 

All of your ideas are right but I have another question, put yourself into the position where someone knows where you live they know you now, they know your school everything you name it they know it. You just supplied them with the information they told you that they are 17 years old and you are 16 you are a female. Two days later at your bus going to school you walk to the bus and a 50 year old man stops you asks you if you are Jenny, you respond "Yes," not realizing that he could be anyone you know, he then says "I am Andy." Your heart stops and you freeze, you think to yourself "This is Andy? As in the one I talked to a few days ago? I thought he live all the way in Europe.." everyone is gone, mom and dad are at work, your neighbors are on vacation, your road is a quarter of a mile long to your house the bus left thinking you know each other and he would take you, there is only him, you and his car. He begins to move in like as if he was to make a move, he grabs your shoulders. Thats when you know something is wrong. This is just one problem that are serious of many when it comes to pedophiles, I just wanted to know what you guys would do, nothing like scream or do something ridiculous, something realistic, I gave you the situation now tell me how to escape it.

 

Unless you're exceptionally skilled at self-defense, you're not going to get out of it. Lesson to be learned? Don't give out your address, school, etc. to strangers on the internet.

Most people tend to be attracted to the opposite sex, within a more appropriate age group. Is that automatically immoral, because those tendencies may be acted upon?

It would be immoral of me, but it would also be a bit foolhardy on your part.

 

You could use that argument for anything. You could ask if murder was immoral because animals kill all the time and we are just animals, acting on a basic instinct.

Society has established certain shared morals and more than that it is the individual morals people have. Mine are that pedophilia is wrong. If you do not share that moral that I cannot convince you otherwise.

There's nothing logically wrong about pedophilia, child porn, etc.
Pedophilia isn't illegal, and even if it were, it's not relevant considering laws do not = morality.

 

Laws are based on codes of morality though. Also you can say "logically" there is nothing wrong with pedophilia but the problem is that it's vary rare that the act itself has consent from the younger party involved and it becomes rape.

You're acting like we humans have no control over our urges and we just going around having sex with strangers we're attracted to in the streets like typical animals.
What I'm meaning to say is that pedophilia doesn't imply the person has the attention to have sex with children in any way, with or without consent. So you cannot connect any action with it so easily.

And I consider your stand on rape to be wrong. So are both of us right while morals are relative? Or is only one of us right?
