    PC Wifi Problems Need Help

    I have a Dell XPS 8700 Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 8.00 GB ram 64-bit operating system.

Long story short, it doesn't stay connected to the wifi. It is constantly dropping and recovering. Other devices in the house are perfectly fine.

Is there a way to figure out if its my desktops Wifi receptor? I haven't called my ISP provider to see if I can get ethernet cause frankly, I move around a lot with it so I'd like for my PC to have it's wifi working.

Under Task Manager and WiFi, it is constantly changing with sending/receving. It'll go high numbers, all the way down to 0 again.

Any suggestions or opinions on what I should do?

    Thanks

Well, ethernet will be as easy to setup by just running a ethernet cable from your router to your PC, I'm sure there is an ethernet port on it.

What you can do is try to reinstall the drivers. Find your product here, download the drivers, uninstall your previous ones and reinstall the new ones.

You could also go to walmart, or ebay, and buy a cheap USB wifi card and see if it has any problems that way. This would only be a band-aid though and keep as a USB port tied up at all times.

Ultimately, you can call their support and have them check it out if you're under warranty.

Thanks for this, will look into it when I get off work. Just want to be sure it's my PC before I buy anything extra.

buy a new WiFi card for your laptop. It might solve your problems since other devices you say don't have problems.
