    PC Monitor Help?

Hello! A friend has offered me a 32 inch flat screen TV for £40, I bit his hands off.

I was thinking, could I use it for a PC monitor, it's an LG 32LH3010, would a TV have all the ports needed for computer monitor?

    Thanks!

This TV will definitely work as a monitor. The inputs you would need are either HDMI, VGA, or component. This TV has all of those inputs, so you should be fine. Also, the max resolution you could use is 1920x1080.

That was a pretty nice deal for £40

    Sweet.

Yeah, £40 is a steal. The guy said he just wanted rid of it, he didn't have room for it haha! With the max resolution, does that mean it won't fill the whole screen? Or will it just be picture quality? I'm not too sure how this all works!

I might be reading this wrong but 1920x1080p is just the monitors max resolution (the higher the better usually). Just change the screen resolution to this and it'll fill the whole screen.

    Thank you.

Will this be a higher resolution than my current monitor? Which is like 14" I think.. Or because that's smaller would it produce better resolution?

Resolution refers to the amount of pixels per inch of the screen. Most modern monitors run at 1980x1080p, although some do go higher. Screen size doesn't mean a whole lot.

Nice deal indeed, although I'm not a fan of LG products.

HDMI, DVI-D and VGA are the main ones.
I've never heard of component for PC haha
