I'm looking for some new speakers ranging from £30-50. Know any good review sites? My current speakers are from 1996 so i'm a bit out of the audio loop.

Have you considered Logitech speakers? They do pretty good ones for that price.

Yeah. My housemate is rocking some logitech speakers w/ a subwoofer, but I think i'd like something a bit more HiFi orientated.

£30-50 is a pretty tight range for new speakers in the audiophile market... Even $100(USD) is kind of tight...

I'll start looking for you, but you might want to ask on an audiophile forum... Head-Fi has been really good with their knowledge base.

    ^^this.

At your budget, the best speakers you're going to find are likely going to be something from Logitech, or something along those lines. If you're looking to go hi-fi, you're going to need to expand your budget. THEN, you can look into setups from companies like Bowers & Wilkins or AudioEngine...these things are spectactular for what they are. Whatever you do, avoid Bose like the plague. They're just like Beats audio headphones.... Over priced and over-rated. You can do so much better for your money than that.

Woah woah woah... Don't bash on ALL Bose products. They used to be good. ;)

Bose 901s could rock a house back and forth. The modern stuff is horrid. I had Companion 5s for a while and only recently found them again after I took `em down... Decided my parents could use them instead of the speakers they were using (like the speakers that come with the prebuilt computers?).

I upped the budget to 100 quid but went for some 50 quid Logitech ones anyway. Much better than what I had. I popped into Richer Sounds but I don't own an amp so the prices were 150 and up, a bit too much for me.
