Have we won the long war against Jagex?

Lately I have noticed lots of RWT and botting happening and no one has been receiving and bans or roll backs. I have only heard of 2 people being punished since free trade was announced. Would you say it's safe to say we won the war against Jagex with botting and RWT? I think we have pretty much won unless they can pull out some crazy new detection program.

Just because you have only heard of 2 people being punished doesn't mean that more haven't been.
I personally think Jagex will NEVER give up with the fight against botting/RWT, they may loosen their position internally, however will be externally preaching their iron fist stance on botting.

Don't jinx it! Well I'm pretty sure they ARE working on something new to draw back the bots, but how would they stop RWT? People nowadays give out free money all the time. We can't get banned for being considerate.

They will just develop a new system by the time.
They will just learn more from their mistakes, and hit us harder back.

No doubt they are getting ready to do a record number mass ban soon to get in the record books, most people banned for breaking the rules in 1hour?

Hmm I was thinking they might want RWT to happen. Now bots are inflating the market like crazy. What if in-game RSGP will get farmed by botters so much that the price will drop down to $0.10/M or worse: it isn't worth anything anymore. RWT would get limited to rares/uncommon items then IMO..

I completely agree with the post above me... I'm thinking that Jagex is finally getting smart. If they tell the mass public that botting and RWT is forbidden, they know a handful of players will do so regardless.

With these handful of players (thousands of players actually), they are making a very nice bonus of the memberships for the botting accounts. If they were to remove sorc garden/soul wars or do a mass ban, then they can say good bye to that $7.50 a month off of the thousands of accounts.

Imo, they arent going to do that. If anything, they will just be doing more of the membership removing rather than the banning. They are running a business for profit, and this business model yields the most $$$

they might be able to nerf sorc garden, but if they nerf soulwars there will be loads of players and clans who quit rs.
I know a few ppl who live for soulwars. they have wars that sometimes takes 7 days.

Jagex is all about the money these days, so why would they mass ban 1000's of accounts when they can simply roll back their stats or remove membership? Doing the latter will keep players paying for membs and keep the cash rolling in for them.

It is possible that Jagex do care about their players and are preparing a mass ban, but I cannot see Jagex doing this; they simply don't seem to care anymore.

i truly believe they have just given up, I think they are allowing anything to go on and taking in as much cash until it flops and they get closed down or something. rs without free trade was dying.

To be honest, if they wanted to ban 90% of the bots, they could. For instance, all the Sorceress's Garden botting is easily detectable. There's several tells the bot has to distinguish it from another player. Not to mention people 24/7 for days at a time, and never get touched. Jagex could fight back if they actually wanted to, they just aren't, simple as that.

They are definitely looking like they are giving up, but I think they will do a HUGE mass ban/reset soon and get a shitload of accounts.

For which I will be waiting for, and I'm going to laugh. It'll be interesting to see the Sorceress's Garden empty for once. I still think it's funny, after an update, the gardens are almost completely dead, except for a few legit players. *cough* just one of the ways to track who is a bot and who isn't *cough*
