This may be the oldest one in Runescape as I started it not long after they came into existence.

It's not used for anything. It's just something to have that noone else does. That is tradeable.

Timepieces are, yes. This one in particular has nearly 600 days and running on it.

 

Surprisingly, the timepiece continues to run upon death, under your gravestone.

It continues when traded as well.

Currently it has now been running for 587 days, started July 16 2009.
Timepieces came to Runescape July 15 2009.

Because time pieces are not bankable, noone can have some old time piece that was running in their bank the entire time.

This thing is very rare. It may be the oldest timepiece in all of Runescape. It would be difficult to find another one even close, if any exist at all.
