So, I am usually really witty when it comes to smelling a scam artist.. (I guess I shouldn't say artist)

But today I got a random friend request from someone and they said they saw I was buying gold. So I didn't think anything of it, he said he was a MM and very near being a OMM, so I asked him for his link because I always need more MM added on my messenger. He sent me it and I reviewed it. Everything seemed fine. He said he had to go eat and he signed out. Well then this message I have posted below comes up. The only difference in the real one and him was a tiny "s" that I failed to see.

All I am saying is PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY DETAIL!!! I still cant believe I almost fell for it, but I figured if it could almost get me, then it could almost get you.

I have gotten this scam a few times. Usually what I do is send the person a verification PM with a phrase for them to tell me in MSN. This way it saves some time instead of PMing each other.

 

The easiest way is to do it by a set of rules via pm.
Well, it's the safest.

Something like:

Trade location:
World:
Time:

All set by the MM/OMM.

I always ask for a PM before doing any trade through MSN.

 

He mostly likely scammed,

 

I do the same, I also do the research on there email to find out there trade history and if there ban evading.

 

He was self vouching xD

But anyways yeah one think I also try to do is to not be in a hurry and only trade whenever you have time to spare, so dont rush it and in case you miss something you didn't catch and piss yourself over later lol.
