Paypal requesting identification

Alright so the backstory to this is that I bought a moneypak card and tried to add it to my paypal but since I'm 17 (you have to be 18 to use it I guess), it denied it.

My paypal has all legitimate details.

I can provide my photo proof (only asks to confirm address, no birthday), as well as my SSN. Will they accept this and hopefully remove the limit (the limit starts in two weeks), or are they looking to confirm that I am 18+? I don't think I ever stated my age but I can't remember off the top of my head..

 

i think they just ring you a code or something i don't quite remeber, i just linked my bank account to verify my shit.

 

They know you're dealing in virtual goods probably and trying to identify you via SSN/Address (both) to ban you for life.

 

Paypal doesn't block virtual goods bro

They are looking to verify that you are 18+.

On moneypak's website it is listed in their terms. They use your social to verify this. Your best bet is to have someone to convert the pak for you until you are 18. I used to offer that service due to not having a redeem limit anymore.

 

Just deleted my paypal account, not worth the trouble.

 

Keep in mind that any future paypal accounts you make with the same information will be linked. It was probably a better idea to verify your credentials rather than delete the account.

 

Yeah I know I'm gonna wait a month until I'm 18 and then make one and at that point I'll gladly send them my license and whatever information they need.

 

I'm 17 and my account got limited with $200+ in it, are you sure they deleted your paypal? Just ring them up and explain it to them, they'll move the money in and then move it into your bank after 180 days.

 

I never linked my bank account and I only had 6 cents. I can't log into the Paypal so it's probably deleted. They said they couldn't delete it but then it said it was deleted. I don't really care either way, if they give me problems in the future I just won't use them. Not something that haunts me at night.

 

They dont support it though. They just try to confirm it is him.

 

Your account will be frozen until you are 18. However if you have any funds on it right now you can withdraw them in 6 months.
