PayPal Problem [Buying RS membership]

Hey guys!

I always get this problem when I want to buy membership:


I've got my bankaccount linked to it, but no creditcard.
Is there any other way to fix this? As I don't have a creditcard.

Pay someone trusted to upgrade for you is my only solution bro.

Many companies have dropped Paypal as a payment system for obvious reasons. I assume that you are trying to pay via Balance, and it won't let you? Maybe it's because charge back issues.. or maybe you don't have balance?
Of course you cannot pay via your bank through this option, however you can transfer money from your bank to Paypal balance.

FYI, if you have a bank account, surely you have a card? Doesn't have to be a credit card, it can be a Visa/Debit.

Apparently Jagex changed their method of PayPal indeed, and I assume it is for chargebacks and all yeah..

There is money on my PayPal, over 70$ AND its not going via my bank!
I have a bankaccount and its linked to it (without the fysical card) and thats not enough.
I did the method where they put two random payments on your bank account and you have to give in both numbers on their website.
Yet for RuneScape they ask me to add a card..

Would it be possible to buy some kind of prepaid visa card or something (with like 10$ on it) to fix things?

 

You could buy a visa gift card to attach to your account, but don't buy a vanilla visa. They're scammers and the card most likely won't work unless they mail you another. If you live near a safeway I recommend buying a gift card there.

 

The thing is I found a nice little thing.
If you do the trail and buy membership with PayPal you'll get 70% off.
But its only eligable on PayPal payments, nothing else.
So I wanted to buy em through paypal for the 70% discount and mess around with some bots thats why

 

Anymore thoughts / tips / solutions?

I meant that you could buy a card to attach on your paypal account, so you can send money.

 

What kind of card are you talking about mate and where could I buy it?

Just a normal visa gift card. If you live in the u.s. you can buy one from safeway. http://www.safeway.com/ShopStores/Store-Locator

The cards that they sell at safeway could be registered online and used for paypal to remove sending limits and other stuff. Try to avoid buying a vanilla visa cause the funds don't work until you contact them to replace the card, which takes awhile since their customer support is complete shit.

 

Sadly I'm from Belgium, you don't know a way for me here perhaps?

Well you could ask your parents to use their credit card just to add limits to your paypal and once you're done with the transaction, remove the card off the account. Just remember to use the money in your paypal balance and ask your parents to watch you do the whole thing so there isn't any questions to be asked later on.

 

Aha BGlave, thats actually a very smart idea
In fact i'm quite sure my parents trust me with their CC, even if it'd stay on there.
But I rather wouldn't because of the fact negative chargebacks etc can be taken from the CC then, no?

But yes indeed I could buy the membership and than remove the CC
