    Paypal charge backs?

I am starting to sell rs gold and ive just got some questions about paypal charge backs to try and prevent myself from getting scammed, as it has already happend once

If a buyer pays via gift from a bank funded or card funded paypal account then they can claim an unauthorised payment and get it back without any questions asked? Am i right?

When it happend to me i contacted paypal and they said that unless i could contact the buyer there was no way i could get my money back!

Also does putting a note along with the gift payment saying stuff like "i give up my right to chargeback" have any effect at all?

Would be really grateful if someone could help me out :)

    Cheers, orang3d

    Paypal charge backs?

I don't think adding anything help's, even if it's a gift with a note. People will alway's charge back. You should just use Playerauction's. Safe and easy.

    Paypal charge backs?

Yep Player Auction is the way to go right now. Theres just so many chargebacks that barely anyone is selling GP's for just PP right now.

    Paypal charge backs?

A note like that won't work, because when people claim the transaction was unauthorised they're basically saying the hacker wrote that note.

    Paypal charge backs?

I would use MoneyBookers, if I were you. Got only positive experiences with it, I don't understand why people still use PayPal though, unless they are scammers obviously.

I'll be fully giving up PayPal in a couple of days.

    Paypal charge backs?

Moneybookers, google checkout, WU are all preferred alternatives. Paypal should not be used for selling items.

    Paypal charge backs?

The only reason I still use paypal is because I lot of new members or just people in general have a paypal and it is more convenient for them.

I have been selling some gold recently through paypal and I have been making them claim and cancel.

I have a quick question though also, is it still possible for people to get their money back somehow regardless of making the buyer claim and cancel?

I have heard of claim and cancel before. How does it work? If it does not guarantee no charge backs then there isn't anyway.

    Paypal charge backs?

Claim and cancel is useless. Chargebacks are like the weapons for scammers. They can call their credit company, and say the hacker claimed and cancel. Wouldn't that be the same as no claim and cancel.

I have to agree with everyone else. PA is the way to go.
