    Paypal stole my money

So I'm doing a trade with someone who wants to buy my runescape account right? He offers to go first, right? I guess because of his willingness I got blinded with excitement of selling my account since I would have enough to buy my sisters lap top for her to go to uni. So he sends me $250, I told him the account is $300 via paypal, so after arguing for 10 minutes he decides to send the other $50.

After that I removed the email and he removed the recoveries himself. I gave him information regarding the accounts recovery system. Then I go to sleep. NOTE: I HAVE EBUDDY ON MY IPHONE. So like 5 hours later he says the account is lock. I tell him stop fucking around no it isn't. He then asks for a refund and at this point I'm like what the fuck.

I go back to sleep, but at this point I know something fishy is up. Note before he sent me $300 on paypal I already had $200 on it. So when I wake up I get like 6 emails from paypal. Regarding "old" transactions and limitations.

I called and they said there is nothing I can do at this point, I can only log into paypal and view my transactions. I ask why? They said it has something to do with the $300 transaction sent to me. They think it's unauthorized. So at this point I'm like fuck off so he scammed me. He never changed the account password/bank pin or anything. The account was cleaned completely of its wealth.

    So now I'm out 30m + $200 with a negative balance paypal that's limited.

    Life's a bitch eh?

Your fault for taking Paypal as a payment. If you ever take paypal, use Player Auctions. They guarantee you won't be scammed basically.

Should have known that. Best of luck getting it sorted.

I have over $500 spread out in 3 different Paypal accounts that are all limited. I've kept trying to call them over the last few months and do what they tell me to do, but nothing ever gets done about it. I've pretty much quit using Paypal at this point.

Sorry to hear, paypal is very easy to get scammed with and not much you can do about it when you do get scammed. A good website to make transactions like yours is playerauctions very trusted and impossible to get scammed

Paypal didnt "steal your money". They simply locked/limited your account because they suspected someone else may have compromised your account. Try calling them and speaking with a rep...

Paypal's notorious for screwing its users over. Just take a look at all the Paypal complaints around the web. Best idea is not to deal with virtual goods when using Paypal..or simply not use Paypal at all.
