Paypal help with claim and cancel

Ok I sold this guy my runescape account... He currently resides in egypt and that is where he sent the money from. I'm curious if he can claim his money back from the money he sent me.

Yep he can easily claim it back. Once he opens a claim you have like a 1 percent chance of winning....

 

if he claims and cancels, can he still get his money back?

Ok he claimed it back, but he cant cancel now.... They put the money on "hold" until they resolve it... I thought u could just claim and cancel fast, how long of a process is it?

 

Ok here is the info he showed me saying that he claimed and canceled... But he told me it will take 6-7 hours, or 1-2 days for the money to show on my paypal.

if he sent it from his bank, 3-7 days.

 

Heres what I think is going on..

If he sent it from his bank account it takes a couple of days.

Now if he already sent the money and said he claimed it but did not cancel it then he is lying. You can claim and cancel right away I have done a few paypal trades and all you do is open a dispute then you can put close.

Check the resolution center if he opened a claim its in there.

 

Is there anyway to speed up the process?

 

nope, that is the time paypal requires with transactions involving a bank.

he has to cancel it, he hasn't canceled it yet.

 

There is no waiting period to cancel. He can cancel it whenever he wants. If he says otherwise than chances are hes trying to recover the money back.

 

with a unauthorized claim, he can take his money back. If he cancels it, there is a good chance he won't take money back.

 

Ok he said he canceled it... but judging by what u guys just said i don't think he has. the guys name on sythe is ownd_pls, he has some nice vouches. Luckily he doesnt have my recovery questions yet, i told him hes not getting them until he cancels his claim... I'm still waiting forhim to do so.

If he cancels will that mean there will be nothing in the resolution center? or what will it say?

thanks thats all i needed to know, still waiting on him to cancel, i don't think he meant for that to happen judging on the vouches he has, but we'll find out.
