[PayPal Help] A couple of questions

Hey, any payments I receive via paypal go to a "pending" balance for 30 days. Is there anyway to lift this limit? My account is verified and has a lot of purchases made (didn't receive money in ages though).

Second question is, I can't pay with paypal balance. I only get a pay with card option even though I have enough money on my paypal balance. Anything that can be done about this?


Note: I never disputed any transactions and nobody disputed any money they sent to me either, if that helps.

Not sure about the first question. When I have funds on my PP balance usually when I choose to use PP as my intermediary payment method it uses the balance from the PP account regardless of whether I am using my card. Basically, I had $30 and the payment was $70 in total so PP took $30 from my PP balance and the remaining $40 was paid with my visa card.

I believe sometimes they make sure your up-to-date on your Paypal Code of Conduct.

They'll make all "Goods & Services" payments (not friends/family) go to a pending balance. Once you've had money in your pending balance, they'll lift that after 60 days of your account being in "good standing" and I'm pretty sure you can find how much longer you need to wait by clicking on one of the payments that's being held.

Are you trying to send USD or EUR from your balance? If you're doing EUR, try to switch to USD and send it.

Also, does your account have a bank linked, as well as a card?

 

Can't link banks. It has a card. Payments that are held release after 30 days but nothing happens after, all future payments are held anyways. I've tried sending and receiving in both usd and eur.

 

Yeah, but the held/released should stop after your account has been in good standing for 60 days.

Everyone with the problem I've seen on google sells on ebay but I don't.

 

I don't think Ebay actually matters; I had the 21-day pending situation on my Paypal account and it was removed after 60 days of good standing. I've also never used Ebay.
