SEO Help - Article Writting

Hey Sythe, so basically almost a year ago I started a website called LewTalon.com where I post articles about anything thats on my mind.

I've been reading up about SEO and all the things you should do while writing articles to help you get more noticed on Google, but it would be nice if anyone here has any further advice for me. I'm trying to stick to a White Hat SEO, as I don't want to get penalised by Google.

Also, just out of curiosity does anyone have any good ideas for popular articles that may help expose my site?

Well, the first thing you did right was mentioning it on a forum. Remember that some places posting links to your own sites can be seen as unfair self-promotion, especially if you add it to your posts a lot, so just slap it in your forum signature and you will get some traffic of people just saying "hmm I wonder what this guys blog is". Also remember links can be added to graphics.

As for SEO, I'm not to sure. I know you can pay google and pay for keywords, but I think there are lots of internal (coding) ways to optimize your placement in search engine results. I just am not too sure of them.

As for your blog, lots of opinion pieces. This isn't a bad thing at all, just make sure its really known that you are not a professional and these are 100% opinions. I like the layout and the articles are a decent read for a little, so I've bookmarked in into my big ass random bookmark folder. Not sure when's the next I'll be back on it since I rarely go to that folder xD

Also, don't forget to tell people in real life and maybe try and get published somewhere official.

 

Try social media sites like facebook and twitter. If you get viral, lots of of people will share it.
