Paypal- can i lose my money still after closed account?

I used to be a member of this computing forum, and I sold a few parts. Mom wanted me to officially dealing online (you know how parents are...), so I had to close my paypal account.

However, I got a few e-mails from paypal that apparently people charged back. Now how is this possible? I mean, the account is gone.

I sold two gtx 295s ($500 graphic cards) and a Q6600 (processor) btw- so the total is over 1000. This morning my brother told me that our house got a fishy phone call from some "banking association" that was looking for my exact name.

Should I be worried about this? Can paypal still yank the money out of my bank account even if I no longer have the paypal account? I'm just paranoid because this is about $1200 of stuff here..

Take the people that charged back to court. Fuck them up, and make them pay a fee.
