Did runescape become more boring after FT/WILDY?

Personally, I think runescape became more boring after FT/Wilderness returned. It's much more easy to make money and from my point of view made the game way less enjoyable.

What do you guys think?

 

Yes, I think it did too. I got bored enough that I quit.

Same with me, I had too much money I didn't know what to spend it on. It's too different when you can't transfer and you have to work for money.

Well, I got lured for 150m + torso + rapier (my thread is on here somewhere about it)

After that I didn't feel sad I just didn't want to make it back.

It finally gave me a reason to quit RS which I was wanting for a long time because it was taking my life away; playing hours after hours.

Anyways, It's boring now when I try to play and i'm glad I quit.

 

To be honest, I feel as if, sure its fun, you can buy gold, rares, 99 skills, But after that, your done.

It is a lot more boring...I play maybe 3 days a week now for 30minutes-2hours MAX.

 

I dont play at all, just gold farm.

 

I like it more but my actions on runescape were already primarily focused around PK'ing. I grinded away for xp and gp to improve my pking abilities and gear. I never liked doing most of the other tasks available in runescape, so with the introduction of FT/wilde, I was able to do what I loved without having to grind, which is perfect. Also, IMO anyways pking is still about skill, not money. Of course money helps but me and my bro have maxxed twin pures so we enjoy pking together when we get the time.

I do feel bad for the people who valued the game for it's other qualities though, because tbh I will admit that the introduction of FT/wilde did hinder those severely. Also I make IRL money with RS through sythe so since Im in college, if this game keeps me from having to have a real job, then by golly I cant not love it and the update that made it easier, lol.

 

The main problem is pking is nothing like it was in 2007. Claws, korasi, summon, etc. Mage bank is dead

Um why wouldn't you sell the gp as well? Unless you wanted to give your friend a nice $800 gift

it removed some fun things that i liked doing, even though im not a big fan of pking i still enjoy it from time to time.

 

I actually think it did.

After taking away the fun aspects of RuneScape for so long it almost feels boring now that they're brought back.

 

Meh I dunno. Maybe I'm just becoming less addicted but the only reason I did/still play is for pking but even that I do like once every few weeks and mostly just bot for crazy good stats. I wouldn't say that FT made the game boring though. Honestly if it wasn't for sythe I wouldn't be playing runescape.
