Needs to be able to run 20 to 25 bots without overclocking. My limit is $1,500, and should be able to handle video editing/ HDPVR recording, and a dual-monitor set-up. specifically looking to run sorcerer's garden bots, but please give me an estimate on auto-puro puro bots. I understand the standard i 500 mb of ram per bot.
If would use new-egg or tiger direct for the pieces that would be great. Or if you know of someone that builds the pc for you that would be even better, I would pay for the service.

    Thanks in advance.

Newegg is not good, they tend to go with large venders like cyberpc which has several cookie cutter "sister" websites. Now this really wouldn't be a problem but...cyberpc has a horrible reputation as many of their PC's break after minimal use.

Ordered my computer, full customer support + free assembly and testing all prices are close to what you can buy the individual item for (some exceptions).

You wouln't be able to run that many bots without a serious overclock.

Without a oc you'll be able to run somewere between 12-15 bots.

You would have to double the ghz rating of a hex core to get the number of bots you want to run.

Edit - Or build a comp that is using dual CPUS. I know that Intel used to have a desktop mobo that supported dual cpus but I can't find it. As far as i know AMD never relased a board for multipule cpus

Moving this to its appropriate section....

My $.02, though: you'll need a hella beastly CPU to handle 20-25 bots. If you got a beastly hex-core Intel CPU, you might be able to pull off 20, but that'll come close to your budget as it is.

Wouldn't this topic be better suited to UE - Tech support?

Anyway, what Kero said. Your standard hex core will get you 12-15 bots but Intels i7 Extreme will get you 18-20. But then again, the Extreme will eat up the majority of your budget.

Most people over there think that just because you can run 1 bot per 500mb on a vps means that you can do the same on a computer. In reality that's not how it works. You will max out your cpu at around 10 bots and you have to worry about over heating unlike a vps. You can buy one of those computers expecting to run 20 bots but don't be disappointed when you can't.

Much appreaciated will think it all over, I just wanted to avoid vps at all costs because you have to go an extra step or two to check on them especially on my iphone. Add on the risk of great vps services choosing not to accept botting anymore even though it is a bulk of their business. Best final overall reccomendation? I'm not messing around here wasting peoples' time, seriously looking into this.

Shit get anything with a 2.9+ ghz quad core and like 8+ gigs of ram.

EDIT:: it's not that hard to run 25 bots.. You could just get a mobo with OCGENIE and overclock it by pushing a button.. if you don't know how to do it without that thing

andddd shouldn't this go here http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=295?

Unfortunately you wont be able to run 20. My computer is an intel i7 950, top of the line stats. $300 Asus Premium motherboard 6 GB ddr3-2000Mhz RAM. Evga 480GTX etc and i can only run 7 bots before the system is showing 90% cpu usage and about 80% RAM usage.

HOWEVER! If anyone here is interested in buying a server that has (2) 2.66ghz cpu's and 32Gb of ram. Capable of holding approximately 30+ bots for only around $1800 let me know because i work for acompany that refurbishes servers and i get incredible discounts.
