Middle man?
What exactly do they do >_>

 

They make sure both of the buyers don't scam each other. I havn't done a trade on Sythe in a long time. Back when there was free trading on Runescape. But this is how I remember it.

Lets say Oscar was buying an account
Lenny was selling the account
and Bob was the Middle Man.

Oscar would give Bob the money, and Lenny would give all the info to Bob. Bob verifies the account is legit and then Bob gives Lenny the money.

Simple as that, just makes sure no one scams. Try to use Official Middle Men though.

 

A middle-man is the trader in between the whole process, so that nobody gets scammed during the trade.

EX:
Seller gives the account to MM.
MM Verifies.
Buyer xFers payment to Seller.
MM gives the account to the Buyer.
Checks for satisfaction.

It's a pretty easy process, and very safe (If the MM is trusted).

Correct. Don't always expect official middle men to be online as they tend to rarely MM anymore.

Also, don't trust just anyone who claims to be a middle man.

ALWAYS ASK FOR A PRIVIATE MESSAGE BEFORE TRADES TO CONFIRM WHO YOU'RE ACTUALLY SPEAKING WITH!

 

a middleman basically recieves both payments from both sides before and details/gp is given out to asure both recieve the right amount

 

remember that middle-mans are still normal people and aldue they are more trusted then regular sythe members they can still ban you so if a deal is large (say more then 50$) you should try using an official middleman even if you have to wait before they get online

 

The person that supposedly is neutral to both the people trading and makes sure no on gets scammed...
