Pay to get your acct unbanned?

Nice way to increase Jagexes profit.

 

Rofl this is hilarious I'd be thinking they made a ton of money once free trade came back but now this: LOL. Especially since the scandal a while back when Jagex was accused of supporting RWT because they were being paid by some gold chinese farming sites to allow them to RWT safely.

 

This is cool and all, but don't you guys think it's a little hypocritical of Jagex to say they are "cracking down on rwt and botting" in one case, then to turn around and offer your old banned accounts back for real life dollars? Idk I just don't get how a company can be against RWT and then just blatantly be supporting it and offering it to rule breakers none the less. They must be wayyyyy short on cash.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see them sell gold and power up skills in the future. The game is really coming down to an end at this point. I was very excited about wildy and free trade, but now i really wana go back the way it was.

 

Is it plausible that if Jagex now gives you the ability to buy your account back they will start banning you for lesser offences?

Apparently it's not for old bans, but Jmods often get their wires crossed, so I guess we'll see.

That's why they did this + Bring old wild back so there would be more people playing and more people paying.

This is like saying "It's ok to bot and get banned if you have cash."

 

Smart move on Jagex's account. If someone's account gets banned, it would take a lot more effort and time to make a new account rather than buying back the banned account. People will do this, another lucrative move by Jagex.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have my main and range tank unbanned (I got them banned on purpose after the wild update) but this seems kinda fishy.. I think SMR has a thread in the cheating section saying not to pay jagex.. it says they'll think about it after you pay them.

They are being blatantly hypocritical about this though.. and i don't know why any rational person would play the game now they know Jagex is allowing bots.. either you would start using bots yourself or stop playing.

So I think this move really announces the fact that RS is a black market/rogue sort of game lol i'd well believe the story about Jagex accepting a payment from chinese gold farmers allowing them to RWT.. sure its obvious they allow people to bot for their continued membership rather than ban them, have payments cancelled and possibility of no further subscription.

 

Why don't you guys understand. It's not the accounts they're after, it's not the money for the unbanning.

It's their OLD subscribers back. They want their old members from pre '07 They want them to be paying membership again.
