Pay It Forward

If anyone knows what pay it forward means then they'll know exactly what im talking about.
Lately ive been on a giant lucky winning streak in runescape.
I bought 100m from grave ($51) and im up a ton right now.
At this point im up to 800m+ all from staking in the past 3 days.

What ive done to pay it forward:
Day 1: completely raped a kid in a 100m duel, offered to give him 10% back
- He declined but i still have him added and will offer him that 10% each day he is on till he accepts it.
later on day 1: a low level, obviously not a botter or a spammer was asking for donations (not spamming it but gently asking it in the grand exchange) so i went ahead and bought the armour and weapons for him. ~1m it might not seem like much but he really appreciated it.

(End of day 1, was up from 100m to approx. 330m)

Day 2: Raped another kid in a duel for like 30m and gave him 10%.

(End of day 2 up to 730m)

Day 3 (Today): Got down quite a bit due to fucking around pking with 18m risks fighting dhers. Fun but lost enough to call it quits. Down to about 650m.
-Fought a kid, 100m stake, i had 750 lp left by the time he died. I gave him 10% back.

(End day 3 up to over 800m)

I know what i gave back wasnt much because i can afford it but it just really feels good giving back to people. Pay it forward. I dont believe in karma but doing a good deed always feels nice and who knows, maybe it pays off in the end!

Usually, when i see poor kids or when someone asks me for some gp i give them, and i am up ~45M Pking, with Dharok today. Edit: I guess, my return is that i own in pk™ Lol!

 

Watched that movie in Psychology class, it was horrible...

OT: The nicest thing I did was probably either showing a noob the way to the grand exchange or giving some random a mil to be in a vid. And no, I havent gotten anything in return.

 

Not really sure about this but doing a good deed does make me feels good and that's a good enough reason by itself.

 

A little off topic, but it really annoys me that you gave a begger money.

 

so does it annoy you when homeless people who are near death on the side of the road are given money or food just so they can live?

How do you know you havnt gotten anything in return? it doesnt have to be like a sigil drop... maybe you got a bit of luck at some point or another.

 

Ive paid it forward so to speak several times. I got hacked, and needed armour. I asked someone and they gave me 5m cash for supplies and armour. Over time I got my bank to 1b+ and then he got hacked. I remembered how he did that for me, so I went and gave him 30m because I k ow if he didn't give me that 5m.. I probably would have quit.

 

I'd only lend/give money to people i trust on sythe or know IRL really. I know how karma is supposed to work but I'm not a charity, I don't give my RSGP to strangers. I don't know if that rubs off on me poorly or not with my runescape account's luck but I don't really care to be honest.

 

when im having a good day with nice amount of profit, i sometimes give free bets to the people i know who are regulars in the fc im in

 

ive helped friends when they get hacked or something. Ive put an end to that, i lent a "friend" 5m when he was down and he burned me on it. Ill help people irl but fuck a bunch of runescape kids honestly, no one ever helped me when i was down and out in game and my charity has only gotten me pissed on in recent times.

it wasnt the 5m that bothered me, is what that he FUCKED me over.

 

That's not the same as someone on a video game begging for some money... Not even close

 

It amazes me that you can compare a beggar on Runescape to a poor homeless person in real life.

 

i wasnt saying that so much about runescape but about the fact that he said giving charity to people disgusts him.

 

Every once in a while i'll double money for lower levels just because it's kind of entertaining ...it must be counterproductive though because they turn around thinking doublers are legit and 5 minutes later give it to a scammer...

 

When i was loaded with cash (50m ._.) i would give people asking for like 50k or something i would give them 500k. They would thank me for hours. But idk, i just like helping people

 

Someone begging on the side of a street could be out there looking for a job. Even if they work at McDonalds or some place like that they are still earning money and will eventually save enough to rent a small apartment. There is NO reason to beg on the street as even if you found yourself homeless you could be doing alot more beneficial things than begging. I know this is off-topic but it really bugs me.

The same concept applies to RS; instead of begging someone could be picking flax for 150k/hr. They could have their 1M in a day if they wanted it but instead they beg and reply of other players.

 

One day I sold some gp in lumb and had like 5m left on the account; started handing gp to random f2p noobies.

 

In all honesty I don't tend to give out my cash, I see it as if I can earn cash then why can't other people?

I see begging as lazy - giving people money will result in them NEVER getting any get up and go!

 

I hardly ever play Runescape so when I get on that's all I really do with my leftover cash. I've probably given out over 500M over the course of my years on Runescape. It's a great feeling helping people out

 

I've given away so much on RS, I've bought about 3bill+ and I have about 1bill to show for it including skills. I feel like a dick when I have a lot and don't give anything though. I've hosted several legit drop parties and doubles, I like seeing people spamming scammer and then shitting themselves when they see an arcane or something.
