READ BEFORE POSTING: Safe Botting Tips & Tricks

After countless threads of asking "What clients are good?" "What should I do to avoid bans?" I've decided to make a general safe botting thread. Now, I will say this to start off: THIS DOES NOT GUARANTEE NO BANS. This is just a general thread to answer many questions that people have. I'm making a detailed guide that I will later sell that is much more detailed and will provide more tips. Therefore, don't expect the most detailed/advance guide from this thread.

Clients to Use

There are many clients which you can use to bot. Each client has their unique style and they can all be found on their respective sites.

All bots have their pros and cons which you can search and find out which one is tailored towards you.

Breaking System

First off, learn how to use the breaking system provided with each bot. You can find this by searching on their forums on how to work. They will more than likely have a tutorial on how to use it. FIND IT.

To all those of you that are constantly getting banned and are always wondering why, lemme ask you a question. How long do you bot per day? 8 hours with no breaks? 12 hours with a couple breaks?

This is where most people mess up and cause bans. You must bot like how a human would play.

Jagex knows that most players aren't going to train Runecrafting for 5 hours then take a break then come back and do it right again. Bot for an hour or so and then break for a little bit.

Yes the XP gains/GP gains won't be as good, but this will ensure the safety of your account. Avoid botting long hours at a time.

Age of Account

This is a biggie. I have done trial and error with my accounts when botting and I've noticed a dramatic difference in bans with the age of acccounts. Using an older account is much safer than a brand new account that you just bought a bond on and are going to gold farm with.
Account Creation

• Create the account with a regular name. Not xlas342. So obvious.
• Change the character's clothes from the default.

Very basic but safe tips.

Scripts To Use

Use scripts that are premium/highest level of bot safety. I personally don't use the free ones because there is a reason why they're free. The scripters don't put as much time into it as they would for a paid script. Go with the paid to ensure better safety.
Don't Bot Same Stuff


Here's a big one, Don't bot same skill/method every single day, repeatedly. Shake it up. Do different things to throw a bone at Jagex and make them think you're a legit account.

F.A.Q.
I just got banned. What should I do?


First thing, Jagex doesn't look at appeals anymore. However, they do look at emails from time to time. I advise you to find out their current emails and send them an email. (Don't know the current one.)
What are some good clients to use?


TriBot, OSBot, TopBot, RiD.
Can Jagex IP flag you?


Yes they can and they do.
Is botting dead? Am I still able to make money/xp gains off it?

Yes, gotta be smart with how you bot.
Will I get banned for botting (x amount of hours) a day while taking breaks?


With any type of botting comes some repercussions and you will have to face the consequences.
Can I use an auto-clicker and get away with it?


I advise you to just buy a botting script. Jagex has stated that auto clickers are bannable since it's a 3rd party software. Auto-clickers are easy to detect because it's just one repetitive movement. Where as a bot has more functions/variables.

I'd just like to note that after getting banned, you really shouldn't waste the time contacting Jagex, they DO NOT take back any of their macoring bans, they ignore appeals, and email/twitter/etc also do not work.

Best to just wipe your tears, learn from your mistakes, and hop back into the saddle!

I've only used TriBot and OSBot so can only speak about those. They're both very good in what they do and have a wide variety of scripts.

I personally choose TriBot because of it's easy to use and very good scripters. OSBot is good as well so you won't go wrong either way.

Well that's more of an indirect way of mitigating the risk. If you're botting and the detection systems check you, you're fucked either way. Appearing less like a bot only reduces your chances of being reported.

Unfortunatelly I'll have to disagree with autoclickers being easily detectable. I've autoclicked 9 accounts in total to 99 magic with 1 second/click and haven't received any bans of any sort yet. I also know tons of people who have done the same. I highly doubt that it's due to luck.
