Party hats this, party hats that, who really cares?

I don't agree with this. You may think there Stupid but to some people its an achievement. Having an Item that not alot of people have it a great Achievement on Runescape. I know they were 1 GP. I remember when they were Just 50M thats when I started Playing. But still If i had the Cash id buy One.

 

Party hats were 3m - 9m in 2002. I started playing RS in 2003 and the cheapest was purple at 89m.

 

Listen, I honestly think the Royal Crown looks 10x better than the phats. But thats just my opinion. why not spend a few mils on a crown, then 1b+ for a phat. Maybe just to make you look rich. Why? who knows. But Agreed, Phats aren't that cool looking just high in value.

 

we all love party hats but the proplem is the money!

 

They do look pretty good but i think like slayer helm and stuff look bad-ass.

 

It's a status symbol. I personally like it though.

 

Yeah if you buy a phat you're only showing off your wealth and trying to tand out. No question in my mind.

I also have a regret story about when I sold my Santa on my old main for 12M ( which was 5M overpriced at the time) and I never bought another one and then I quit RS for a while I came back and they were like 25M fml. Now they're way more, so I failed

 

totally agree with you! but i think santa hats are the best.

 

if party hats were 100k there wud still be some people wanting them but once they value is low
they are useless

 

I honestly like them for their looks. They are crowns.

 

I honestly love masks more, but in my humble amazing opinion, i like party hats the same way I still love gilded, it gives you the look of being rich, the only cool looking ones are the red/blue ones.

Maybe because they're RARE, and are always going to increase in price? I don't see why anyone wouldn't want one, unless they used all their gp toward it.

 

Everyone is obsessed over them because of their price. Its a sign of wealth, its a place holder for money and the prices only seem to rise with time. Similiar how in the real world people would buy an old car for an outrageous amount of money because of its look and rarity. What makes diamond rings more desired than aquamarine rings (besides its toughness), certainly people (woman) would want a different gem in their ring if diamonds weren't so valuable and sought after by so many people.

 

Even if the price of Phats were 1 GP now, i would not care. It is a discontinued item that leaves a trail of history behind them. In my opinion, The look (I dont mind it) The Price (I honestly DO NOT care if its the most valuable item in RS) I really only show great interest because it shows how different, how better the old RuneScape was.

The only reason I buy/sell/keep mine is for merchanting/investing purposes. I'm personally not a fan of partyhats and prefer the lesser rares like masks/santa's when it comes to looks.

 

I'd have a party hat if it was 1 gp they're awesome.
