How do you believe Life on Earth started?

I personally believe that God created the life. However I'm not a close-minded idiot that won't listen to the other ideas/opinions. I want to hear what you guys think.

I also believe God created us. It's hard to believe but accurate Bible prophecies and witnessing demonic possesions in person convinces me enough to believe in God. I don't know how God created us, but I know he did somehow someway.

Please don't flame me for saying that I believe in God.

 

While their is some text published about the odds of having a planet that is able to support life, the fact of the matter is: if there is just 1 planet that is capable of supporting life in the entire Universe, then that planet will be the planet from which perspective is coming from. You can't use arguments like "well, God must have created humans because everything worked out so perfectly for development on Earth" because there is scientific study concluding that there is a definite existence of other planets very similar in composition to Earth.

Anyways, I believe in the Big Bang, and slow evolution, especially since it's very, very rational and is extremely difficult to disprove.

 

Why do you believe that God created life? Do you have evidence to support this belief?

Some of your options don't even make sense, like Big Bang and evolution describe two different events, so you can technically agree with both theories. I chose other because I'm a combination.

 

I voted for god, because thats what I was raised to believe. Now, I'm not saying that I wont change my mind in the future, but I have not studied on this topic, So this is my current best explanation. :| And im feeling shredder is gunna quote this, so..

I believe in god, but i believe we evolved on our own.
God is only here to guide us, im not major on the whole "religion" thing, and i wont get into it about god and what not, just giving my opinion.

 

Well at least you're keeping yourself open-minded for the potential of changing your opinions in the future, and you're being honest; you really don't know, you're just believing what you feel is the best option given your knowledge. Well, I've been raised a Christian and to believe God created the heavens and the Earth.

And the Big Bang theory makes sense.

Theoretically, if the big bang hadn't happened, life itself wouldn't be here.

I thought Big Bang is the one that create the solar system? Pardon me if I am wrong. I think it is evolution.

 

The Big Bang created the Universe. Evolution is the process in which organisms developed into different kids of organisms, through random mutations and natural selection and whatnot. Of course, the Big Bang itself could not have created life, as there was so much chaos at this space that NOTHING could have survived. The first lifeforms appeared on Earth roughly a billion years after its creation, and this was WELL after the Big Bang.

This, of course, is from my very limited knowledge of Astronomy and whatnot.

To all the people who keep saying 'theistic evolution, theistic big bang' etc, your god's/holy books never suggested anything like this! Why are you saying that He created us this way? Just because science beat creationism and other illogical and irrational statements in your holy books, you can't just say THEISTIC [Insert theory here]. I have never read anything in the bible which suggests evolution or the big bang.

Ok your options make more sense now, thanks for changing them. So you're not talking about life on earth, you're talking about existence in general. I understand the argument, the only bad thing is I still don't know how life started haha.

 

I believe that God created life on earth as it is right now. No different. I don't believe in evolution in any way or the big bang. This is because I see no evidence of it in the Bible. If someone has some evidence to correct me with please do I would love to investigate. I believe that God solely created the universe and all life.
