Chaotic Maul?

So I'm about 15k tokens away from been able to buy a Chaotic weapon but i don't have a clue which...

I was thinking a Chaotic Maul as I could Pk/Boss with it but My stats are 80-91-80 (getting 99 strength soon) but I've heard that with only 80 attack i will rarely hit in PvP, but I thought attack didnt really effect it because it is strength based.

Help please?

(p.s I have ruled out rapier as i do not really do slayer or general combat)

 

Honestly I'd get the rapier because from what I've hear it's a good all-round weapon for bossing/pking or like you mentioned slayer. I'm not really sure wait for panic to post here he has like 106 Dung.

 

Both Rapier and Maul are awesome against bosses and Pking...

For strictley pking i would say Rapier however maul does alot of damage aswell, for bosses i would say Maul but this is dependant on the bosses you kill, i mean for example if you like doing KBD get chaotic rapier because you can weild a sheild with it, but for bandos and zammy boss get Maul...

All in All i would prefer maul, but chaotic rapier is slightley better in pking.

 

but for rapier i'd need higher attack to be effective?

 

Rapier for all rounder, id only suggest getting maul if you are going to pk, but if you are a pker, then maul without a question

 

Thats what My goal was to do in the end.. Im not too fussed about anything apart from bosses/PvP

 

I would personally choose CLS over mual. But if your choosing between rapier or mual, i'd choose Rapier hands down.

Or even better, get all 3.

Id say get rapier. The Stab Bonus with dragon defender is incredible and the speed of rapier is awesome.

 

Maul is only useful for pking (imo).

Get rapier. Fast and powerful. Plus you can wear a shield to improve your defense bonuses.

 

I personally have never used maul for pvm because it's a 2h weapon. Love my DFS <3

Seeing as i do a lot of pking myself i love the maul. It is definitely the funnest weapon to pvp with imo. If you want to PVE i would recommend the rapier.

 

I had a maul.
it's amazing for anything PVM because just about everything is weak to crush. the only downside is it's 2h so you need super antifires to fight dragons with it.
it hits stupid high and is faster than a godsword too


as far as the pking aspect of it.. it's a fun weapon to use but also a very agrivating one.
It combos like no other... but if someone has vengence you're just gonna kill yourself. Countless times I hit 70s and k0ed myself because veng hits a 50+ back.
Also when you pk with it people tend to safe to 90 hp because they are scared of it.. and they cry so hard.


It's really up to you.. most people will tell you to get the rapier..but in my opinion it's balls compared to the maul.

 

Maul, all the way. It's best for pking and bossing.

 

I'd take Chaotic Maul over CLS, despite the fact CLS can be combined with a shield, Chaotic Maul gives more str bonus itself than any other wep in game.

 

I'd take the rapier. It's incredibly accurate and extremely fast, and still manages to hit into the 600s in PvP. Everyone looks at the maul and sees higher stats, so they assume it's the better weapon.. put a maul vs a rapier and I guarantee you the rapier wins.
