I'm 19 year old, and my boyfriend is a 14year old kid.

I don't know where to start. As shocking as it might sound, I'm having a very hard time to even accept this fact. I'm even scared to tell my friends that I'm dating a 14 year old boy, who happens to be my friend's younger brother because of this huge age difference. I'm scared that people will call me names, not him. Names like "pedo", yeah something like that.

It all happened on 4th of this month when there was a party, and he needed a date because it required one. So, I willingly agreed. I mean, it was just for a party. Picture is here.



Then we started talking more and more.. and finally he was in love with me. I do like him, and I did tell him that it's crazy to date. I mean, come on, he's 14 and I'm 19. I'll be joining college soon and he will be in school. He just don't understand.

When we walk on the road, people thinks we're siblings because of the maturity on my face. I do jokingly tell them that yes we are, but deep inside it's kinda insulting. It bothers him too but as he used to say, "he'll never leave me."

I actually feel kind of disgusted and I hope people would stop talking about us. I know this is so wrong, but I feel happy when I'm with him. He may be 14, but he acts like he's a 22 year old guy. He is more matured than me attitude-wise.

I don't know where to ask for solutions, I know I wouldn't be able to share this IRL. So.. I'm asking you people here.

 

If I'm honest, I do think it's weird.
But as long as you don't have sex with him until he's legal age, then fuck what other people think.

I'm not entirely sure how i feel about this situation, i suppose i feel as if you're a predator.

Living in India I'm sure there are different age laws (or none at all). Traditions could be different there than here which is why we find it a bit inappropriate and unacceptable.

Having intercourse with him still does not condone the inappropriate actions. Regardless, you're still having some sort of physical contact with him. Although i feel it is wrong, i am not to say if it is or is not legal, as you are from India. Regardless of where i am from, it seems a bit inappropriate. In my prospective it would be as if I'm dating my little brothers friends (he's the same age as your boyfriend and I'm the same age as you).

 

you can't help who you develop feelings for, we don't choose the people we love. Age is only a number! At the current age, yeah sure doesn't seem like the greatest of relationship. But only the people in the relationship see it for what is really is.

and on the plus side, when you're 63 he'll be 58. Doesn't seem so bad now? :3 Only looks bad because he is still so young. But just be careful, he's only 14... Surely he isn't ready for something serious?

I find it kinda weird, but I wouldn't listen to what others have to say. If you love him, there would be no reason to break up with him, soon enough he will be 18 and you can live happily ever after.

See it this way, If you would be a guy and he was female, the comments wouldn't be like this.
I just feel that you should see someone your own age. When someone is
14 they don't know really much about it all yet.

 

He's a kid, you're an adult (by age). I was going to say matured adult, but obviously you're not. What you're doing is morally wrong, imagine what the kids parents will think when they find out? They will do anything in their course to make it not work. Go find someone your own age, let the kid be a kid.

 

As long as he doesn't behave like an utter kid you should be fine. Ever since I was like 15 i've been pretty mature and I also look older than what I actually am and i've never dated a girl younger than myself. Idk, I can't stand stupid immature girls.

When I was 15 I was hanging out with a 25 year old, and when I was 16 I was with a 27 year old.... So if you thought your gap was somewhat awkward, yeah i've been through that before. If you really like him it shouldn't matter how old he is.

It is indeed weird that you are dating a 14 year old when you're 19. The guy is also the younger one too. Idk, I've always thought of guys being the same age or older than the girl.

Theres more to Indian culture then what's being told. If i remember correctly, India is one of many places that still abide by arranged marriage traditions.

Them seeking help could interfere with traditional family plans for the two of them.
