Buying accounts...?

Wasn't sure where to put this however, when buying accounts is it more secure now with Jag in place? I haven't played in a while but might buy an account only if I'm sure it'll never get taken back?

 

Most you can do is;

Change email from his to yours, then to another email.
Change password twice, first one a temp, then 2nd your real one.
Set JAG.
Buy some sort of product with a card or SMS, so Jagex has your payment information on file, and can help secure it, usually people pay membership with pins, so if they never had their info on it, they may ask what info you used if he tries to recover. Also, login, then out a few times, to sort of lock in your IP if that makes any sense, other than that.. Idk? It may or may not be safe, just be careful, if you ever need a MM click middleman in my sig and I'd be glad to help.

 

Damn, thanks a lot Wolf! Thats detailed asf and helpful too - it does worry me though I thought it would be safer, if I ever do buy an account ill be sure to do all of that

 

It's a serious risk buying accounts, always has been, always will be.

You can try using PA to secure the account/transaction.

 

Yes but that wouldn't stop the person/scammer getting his account back...

 

Yeah its risky so might avoid and do some botting while I got exams....not too sure...

 

You can never be sure. Even a trusted person could turn into a scammer after years. It's better when you just create it and bot on it / pay people to play it up.

Nope, pointless.
A person can simply pm jagex on the forums and tell them they will get hacked, and they will auto lock the account and remove any changed jag questions for the person to recover.

 

I say you should just make an account yourself, then pay people slowly to level it up for the cheapest outcome.

 

Already have a pretty nice account was just thinking I could buy a maxed one and go bossing :/ Can't really go bossing with mine at the moment...
