Other Games Section Rework?

Why are MineCraft and LoL buried while Diablo isn't? I just don't think it is fair simply because these games are newer (even though D3 came out). I believe they should come out of hiding from their subforum status and evolve to forum status. I type a lot, btw.

For LoL, that's 29% of ORPG's threads, 32% of the posts.

Threads in Diablo range from the end of 2010.
Threads in MineCraft range from 1-18-2011.
Threads in LoL range from 10-20-2011.

Based off of that alone, LoL should be unburied, with MineCraft being in second place and Diablo being in third.

Strategy & Tactical is really dead, so that could be cleared out to Indie / Misc which would allow room. Handheld Gaming can be merged with Indie / Misc as well, and that way both MineCraft and LoL can appear on the index.

I believe with the above solution, everyone will be happy... since Diablo will be preserved on the index, but MC and LoL will be there too and thus gain some popularity, I believe.

OT: Minecraft and LoL were both pretty dead. They did have some activity, but it could easily fit into the other sections. When Diablo 3 first came out the Diablo section received a surge in activity, therefore it was left as it's own section. Unfortunately, the game tanked, and so did the activity. I think now it's time has passed, and I would support it being removed.

We don't need to start adding in individual sections again, because then we are just going to end up with the same mess we had before. I think if we keep to the "genres only" plan, then things should go great.

 

I just thought it'd be better... I just see it more fitting than those two sections I mentioned being there. I guess I didn't exactly know the full story...

Irregardless, I still think those two sections, maybe even Diablo, should be removed or re-moved =p.

As for what you quoted, I think that'd only be fair... because I find it odd about the Xbox section being there but eh maybe the staff prefers Xbox... =].

At a first glance, that console genre + section for the clans, etc. does seem like a good idea, at least better than the current hook-up.

Anywho, if there is a thread like this already... then this can be closed.
