Gaming Section Rework

Hi,

Following feedback from another thread, and looking at the overall state of the games section, i'd like to suggest the following arrangement for the gaming section.


- Livestreams & Media

In all honestly, looking at the activity of the current sections, these two warrant their own subforums in the general gaming forum.

Other arrangements could include:


- Livestreams & Media

But looking at the current state of the sections, option one would be better in terms of activity.

Please post your input on what you'd like to become of these sections, or if you have any other queries, thanks.

will make it look better, but cba atm the other game sections is really dead.. and it needs some lovin

 

Yeah I was thinking something more along the lines of this, LoL should remain its own main page section.

Ah, my bad on the Livestream front, I completely disregarded that. In answer to Minecraft, the only threads in the last 2 weeks have been from one guy advertising his YouTube channel, so i'm not sure that warrants it's own section, but perhaps having it not so hidden may help it's activity.

 

I think expanding the game console sections like a day before the release of PS4 and Xbox One may be good

 

I like the LoL discussion section how it is - It doesn't need more subforums.



As for the others, I don't really use them, so I can't comment.

 

basicly leave it how it is, just condense all the other pc related games into one section. i try to post in every section, atleast this way we can see all the threads that are active as once, which is very many.

 

No one's suggested LoL subsections, just condensing all the inactive sections into one general forum.

If we have both a Xbox and PlayStation section, these will cater for all generations of each console, since their names all contain "Xbox" or "PlayStation" in the name.

I think people will only really be interested in topics regarding 3rd and 4th generation. I mean I know this site isn't exactly for console gaming but I think it will appeal to other members...some members may love visiting sythe but not be interested in some of the sections we have at the moment. 4th generation consoles will last for like 7+ years? it may bring more overall activity on sythe

 

What I meant is, having the sections being named like that, enables chatter from older gens as well as newer gen discussion, so basically everyone wins.

 

if we have one section for each thing, eventually it will just look like a mess and no-one will bother even going in those sections. Maybe a ps3 +ps4, xbox 360 + xbox one and so on maybe better

 

To be honest, the current Xbox section isn't active enough to warrant separate sections.

 

It's really not active enough, Xbox General is enough for the time being. However, we do need a playstation section.

 

that's because there is nothing attractive about the section. It's just a mess and disorganized. It's sort of a put off going there because it's just everything together muddled up. If there was a little bit of organization then it would be better.

 

so you would let a section die just because you don't like the muddle look.. people like you are the reason other games section is dead to begin with and you sicken me.

 

oh please lmao "let a section die"? it's already dead and if you fail to admit that then grow a pair... the section needs to be given a remake so that it brings its appeal back.

Might be a little bit outdated, but here are the proposals I brought in my staff lounge thread a while back.

 

^I like proposal 2, as long as Xbox is changed to a console section.

refusing to post in a section because it isn't organized is silly.
