Origin = fucking idiots?

Anyone else had problems redeeming a code on Origin? Don't think anyone can help but it's mad how this has happened.

Tried redeeming an old game I got like 5 years ago for my step brother and it's saying the code is already in use.

My game, my disk, my code, never been anyone else's. Never used Origin before.

They want proof of purchase on a 5 year old disk or are offering me a 15% off voucher to buy another copy, ridiculous.

 

Has the case been opened at any point in the past 5 years? Maybe your step brother activated it but forgot about it?

And I'm not a big fan of Origin, the whole service is just unnecessary. Steam is already right there, EA just want 100% of the money that goes through when buying a game instead of the 70% cut off Steam.

 

im not sure if this is possible, but maybe someone with a program tried to guess codes on origin and it suceed?lol

A keygen? Yeah that is possible, though services like Origin and Steam would probably have systems in place to stop people being able to attempt multiple keys in such a short span of time.

 

yea but what else would have happened lol 5 years is a long time for keygens

 

over 5 years the code was probably guessed mate :/

Try to call the place you bought it and ask for a ereciept

 

The reason I was trying to get a digital copy from Origin was that when installing the game I got a cyclic redundancy check? error and someone on the EA forums said that using Origin worked for them.

I suppose someone generated it then, that sucks.
