... or no signatures at all !

Hi,

Despite the efforts made to reduce signatures, my wish is to have some browsing option where you can totally disable the signatures or at least disable the images inside, i really cannot see why people are so obsessed with it.

I honestly do not mind seeing 2 or 3 lines of text talking about the write in a manner or another (some nice words or whatever), but these pictures just make the page load slowly and drown the thread subject in some tingling jumping useless pictures.

For those who really want to share such, i guess the graphics section is more than welcome to accept their creations.

I think you can disble sigs in your usercp.... i think....

 

Thank You SuF, indeed you can , unfortunatly it hides the whole thing (which is less awful than see all these still huge and useless pictures).
It would be nice to just hide the signature pictures !

Your signature is very appropriate. There isn't really a reason to get rid of the signature images.

 

if it loads slowly just turn all sigs off easy fix.

 

not loading images would be an easy script to make i would think... just make it ignore <im> tags in sigs.. that would be a decent idea...

You don't own the site, therefore you don't have the right to be picky about its contents.

Disable signatures fully, or not at all. There is no "half-way."

 

I agree, as long as the image is not outside of the signature limit it is fine.

 

If you would like, save yourself some time by adblocking imageshack, Photobucket and tinyimage. This would eliminate the need to worry about signature images nearly entirely. The downside - This also nearly eliminates all images that you would find in forums on the internet.
