chaotic staff and mage boxing

Taking advice from you guys I decided to watch a few vids of old school mage boxing. I saw that in some cases staves were allowed. Now I know people say that a "non-degradeable" option will be added but if its not this could be a killer. It takes me about a week for 2m dung exp but I could use the tokens on another chaotic (I curently own xbow tome of frost chaotic kiteshield and arcane stream)
The staff was next on my list anyway being a tank and all and I really enjoy dungeoneering but the tokens could serve me otherwise.
What are your views of the chaotic staff? Are there any non-dungeoneering alternatives that are better feedback please .
P.s. Don't say sol rune saving ability? I'm staking. Melee reducing spec? I'm mage boxing.

 

i mean...ive never had a tank but im a maxed main and an old school staker and IF you were going to be mage boxing chaotic staff would be to your advantage...and im really curious of how chaotic are going to effect staking. same with shit like divines. if it was wep slot only then obviously use staff...but what if they want shield+ammy (arcane stream neck+...maybe arcane spirit shield...or divine?...

really i think staking is going to change...a lot

 

Yeah people are talking about a "non-degradable" option happening but I really hope that's not implemented lol though I guess it would be fair on lower levelled players who haven't grasped the multipliers of dung or can't afford to use zuriels.

 

It should give you a fair advantage if you had it, yea.

Maybe just wait for the update and then get it? If they do implement the no degradables clause then it's not going to be doing you much good anymore.

 

Yeah but I was going for it regardless as I recently lost 1 in pvp. If there's a better staff in terms of cb and damage this wud be a waste of 200k tokens AGAIN :/

You should rather save up for ring of vigor or something.

 

Personally im 100+dg and i own a chatoic set. My opion on staff is that if you are going to use for staking you should get it, don't bother with sol because its terrible, chatoic staff is beastly.
