15m on 90 smithing? or maybe 5m on 90 smithing+crafting?

okay so I'm currently level 65 smithing and looking to get it to 90 for starters fastest and best way is as follows.

4,874,271 exp untill 90
56.25 exp per gold bar (with gloves)
86654 gold bars to reach my goal.

the difference between gold ore (96gp) and gold bars (278gp) is about 182gp.
so
86654 gold ores = -15,771,082

But i could also smith those gold bars into gold jewelery witch intern will give me some of my money back + crafting exp

86651 gold bracelets at 224gp each with a (54gp) difference
it would = -4,679,316

Check my theory crafting and let me know please.

 

What are you asking? Check over your numbers?

The only thing i see wrong is that you listed gold ores as 96 gp and gold bars as 278 gp. Flip those two numbers around. 278 subtract 96 is 182. So your total loss will be almost 16 mil if you sell the bars. Nothing wrong with the gold bracelet calculations. But if you have access to the Rogue trader you could sell it to him for low alch value to get more money back.

Your doing one of the most common methods of smithing. This is not the fastest and best way to smith, but it's one of the most cost efficient methods. Be warned smelting gold ores is fairly fast, crafting will be slower. So depending on how you value your time, crafting gold bracelets may not be the best choice.

 

It's only 3 gp/xp, which is pretty low considering what most other skills cost.

I'd just tough out and sell the bars. You can get crafting later.

 

I'd go for smelting the ores, 16m for 90 smithing isn't bad at all, but I'd just sell the bars. There are a lot faster ways to level crafting, and even though those ways will be more expensive, I just don't think making bracelets would be worth your time.

 

Lol yeah thanks i fixed it, Low alch value is 220 gp so its not to far from the G.E. price. If you like my progress log here and know any tips and tricks to get 90 smithing or 99 smithing quicker or faster and not completely expensive please pm and let me know.

Ive looked, doing it this way may take awhile but its sure as hell cheaper then buying Green d'hides and making D'hide armour

Yeah there are faster ways but its like 80m+ for 99 crafting.

Gp/xp is similar to green dhide with sc tools.
