Opinions on botting?

Botting allows more resources to come into the game that in turn drives prices down. This is a good thing for casual gamers, because you don't have to no life the game to get somewhere.

 

I agree with you both, although I think Jagex are coming to the end of the line. There is only so much they can do to TRY and stop bot developers such as epicbot and rarebot, I also have a feeling we will be seeing powerbot pretty soon aswell. I have been using Epic both for 2 days now and it has been outdated twice but re-updated in just a few hours. So it seems that developers are able to make quick changes to the coding in order to update the bots which is great.

OT: I think bots are good as someone mentioned before running a d'hide tanning bot over night to make a couple mill I don't know why Jagex would have such a problem with this.. sure it's cheating I guess but it's down to the player at the end of they day, im sure there are loads of RS players out there which knew about botting but refused to do it. It's down to the individual. Also I think mass botting/goldfarming is to much. These people are making serious profit from Runescape as quite rightly should be stopped.
