Need personal help on getting in shape

So I am a little bit out of shape ever since 6th grade because of fast food restaurants as for now its getting better now since I'm in 12th grade. I still am in under shape but not as bad as from when I was a 6th grader. I have problems which bugs me, I think its my insecurities which not makes me motivated. Like going to the gym.. I still feel not confident and insecure going since everybody who goes to the gym is like in great shape, body builder but I'll be the one not in shape. but there are medical problems I have when I was younger and I feel like I have it still, Asthma.

Well u have a few options here, and more if u have money to support urself. One of the best ways to slowly start losing weight is change ur diet...obviously this costs money so if u dont have a job or make enough to buy ur own food (ill assume u live at home) then it will be more difficult, but if u DO, id def start with a diet change. avoid carbs and excess sugars, anything with lots of preservatives in it, fast food, etc.

another thing u can do, and this will help whether u eat healthy or not, is count calories. u can find sites online where u put ur height weight age sex and daily exercise and it will tell u how many calories to consume each day. from there u need to count EVERY calorie u put in ur body and make sure u dont go over what it says u should be eating. this may sound easy but its alot more work than ud think, however it will help

yet another tip is eat often but in smaller amounts. eating 5 small meals a day verses 1-2 large ones will help stabilize ur metabolism which keeps ur body from going into panic mode and storing so much fat.

    DONT SKIP BREAKFAST...EVER

excercise: 1st things 1st, its HARRDDDD to get urself up and actually doing it, but every day u force urself out of the computer chair and into some form of exercise, it gets easier and easier. i can understand the selfconcious (gg bad spelling)
thing so id suggest jogging or even walking around ur neighborhood, and if even that bothers u try doing it later at night when less people are out and u can feel at ease

hope some of this helps, most are methods i used when i needed to shed some weight

biggest thing is eat less portions, and definitely stop eating fast food! Track is starting up now because it's spring team. I'd recommended joining it even if you aren't fast. It's one of the best ways to improve yourself no matter what shape you're in and there are usually different level groups so if you're not a varsity runner you can still work out to the best of your abilities. What you have to understand is that getting and staying in shape is a lot of work. If you want to be lazy just give up now, you're never going to be fit. I was out of shape in 9th grade but I joined track and it helped give me a base to work from. I'm now on the varsity team for one of the top ranked schools in Minnesota(we're either number 2 or number 1). Also drink lots of water. Even if you're not going to work out a lot at first drink about 3 or more nalgenes of water per day. It really makes you feel better and helps you lose weight. One of the things I've found that was most difficult is the ability to not make excuses for yourself. I have an obstructed airway because my tonsils are HUGE so I'd always give up halfway through the runs because I couldn't breathe. If you just fight through it you'll thank yourself later. I know you have asthma, I'm not saying run even when you're dying of an asthma attack, but just don't let it become your excuse not to do something. Stop riding in the backseat of life and get in there and drive that beauty. If you ever need advice on working out or what to eat or anything like that feel free to pm me. I'm the only fit person in my family and I used to be like them so I understand what it's like. The feeling of being fit is just too good to describe. Everything seems easier now. You definitely have to at least try to get in shape. At the minimum shoot for having at least 1 hour of strenuous exercise everyday, and after a while try to work up if you can. Time restrictions can be difficult, trust me. I'm an eagle scout, a national merit student, and I'm in National Honor Society, in all a.p. classes, plus I work at an apple orchard so I understand the excuse for no time. Trust me, there's always time no matter how busy you are.

"everyone who goes to the gym is a great shape bodybuilder"

NO WAY MAN! Lots of people go there to drop a few pounds.

Just pay attention to what you eat and don't skip meals and go outside and do something active every day and you will be good in no time :p

I too have asthma, and I am in shape, if you are truely willing to do what it takes, PM me, I can help you get into shape, and with minimal effort, it won't require going to the gym, and it won't require tedious work, I can seriously help if you really want to get into shape, once again, PM ME.

Everyone starts somewhere. I bet those people were at the same point where you are now. I'm always the scrawniest guy in the weight room, but that doesn't stop me from lifting. Usually, people won't even say anything to you when you're lifting so that shouldn't be a concern for you.
